2 out of 3 that were diverted to Manila

Last Saturday, August 15, 2026, UPS flight 5X138 and FedEx flight FX5158 were diverted to Manila (RPLL/MNL) due to bad weather conditions at Clark International Airport (RPLC/CRK).

Both of the aircraft are a Boeing 767-300F but the difference is that the UPS is an ER or Extended Range and has a blended winglets while the FedEx has a raked winglets.

Didn’t have a chance to spot the other Boeing 767-300F of FedEx with a registration N130FE, it departed earlier bound for CRK rather than the N121FE and N330UP.

Every aircraft has a lesson to teach.

Working around aircraft has taught me that aviation maintenance is not only about repairing components. It is about attention to detail, safety, inspection, teamwork, and continuous learning.

Even a small mark, defect, or unusual condition on an aircraft can tell a story and remind us why proper inspection and maintenance are so important.

As an aircraft maintenance student and someone passionate about the aviation industry, I continue to learn from every aircraft, every task, and every experience.

And this is only the beginning.

I am working on a project that I hope will contribute to and support the aviation industry by connecting knowledge, people, and opportunities in aviation.
