Missing the good ol' days when Manila still had a single fence along its perimeter. Back then, spotters would line up along Multinational Avenue, tripods set up along the fence, praying that the subject aircraft wouldn't move an inch until the long exposure shot was complete. 🤣

Like this shot of a Qatar Airways Boeing 777-300ER from 13 years ago, holding short at the end of Runway 06, patiently waiting its turn to depart while a whole lineup of widebody traffic stacked up behind it on Taxiway Charlie. Those were definitely the days!

Philippine Airlines' two remaining active Airbus A350-900s are seen here departing Manila on regional and domestic flights yesterday. RP-C3508, also known as ā€œThe Love Busā€, operates PR318 bound for Hong Kong, while RP-C3501 heads to Davao as PR1805. As more A350-1000 flagships join the fleet, where do you see PAL utilizing these two A350-900s next?

[WATCH] And the heavens opened up earlier this morning, forcing this EVA Air Boeing 777-300ER to abort its landing and execute a missed approach over a very drenched Manila! It finally landed after spending over an hour in the holding pattern.

Small, Medium, Large! 😁

A lineup of Philippine Airlines aircraft led by the now-former PAL Airbus A320 (RP-C3227), followed by one of their legacy GE powered A330s, and the new kid on the block at the time, the incoming flagship Boeing 777-300ER!

Sure miss spotting when RPLL still had a single fence along Multinational Avenue!

Boeing Giants at Manila.

It is always a treat to see a couple of Boeing widebodies in Manila! A Philippine Airlines Boeing 777-300ER, operating as flight PR104, is seen here about to complete its 14-hour journey from San Francisco, just as a rare Boeing 747-400 freighter from Silk Way West Airlines is about to make its departure from Manila via Runway 24.

Who misses these French aircraft at Manila? Air France is scheduled to bring back its direct flights to Manila on October 13, 2026, after completing its temporary seasonal suspension for the northern summer season.
