After nako nag watch sa short film nila Joseph Sabello na “Gasolina” it made me reflect on how a father’s role goes far beyond what we usually notice. A father is not just someone who provides he is someone who endures. He carries responsibilities without complaint, hides his struggles, and continues to stand strong even when he feels like giving up. The film shows how fathers often choose silence, dili kay wala sila gakasakitan, but because they put their family first, becoming the steady foundation everyone depends on.
“Most fathers are liars, they always say ‘I’m okay’ while silently drowning in pressures no one even notice because they believe that if they fall, the whole family might too.” That line really hits kay inani jd akong papa.🥹 It shows how fathers hide their struggles just to stay strong for their family. When moingon silag “I’m okay,” it’s not always true it’s their way of protecting everyone else. Their love is quiet, often seen in the burdens they choose to carry alone.
It made me realize that maybe the least we can do is appreciate them more while we still have the chance—to acknowledge their sacrifices, try to understand what they go through, and remind them that their efforts never go unnoticed. To my parents not just my dad, we see you, we appreciate you, and we love you! Thank you for everything.❤️
If you want to watch this short film, prepare your tissues!🥹
