🎭 Just as cosplayers continuously refine their craft, we as photographers are on our own parallel journey of growth. Every event is a new canvas, and every setup is an opportunity to push past our comfort zones.
🔦 For the recent Anime and Cosplay Expo 2026, I decided to challenge myself by shooting off-camera flash on-the-go, using a simple bounce card as my light modifier. Navigating the technical learning curve of a new setup in a fast-paced environment definitely brought its share of challenges. But more than the technical hurdles, I truly embraced the trial, the adaptation, and the joy of creating.
🤝 At the end of the day, photography is about connection. I’m deeply grateful for the journey of learning, understanding light, and having the privilege to share these frames with the incredible cosplayers, fellow photographers, event goers, and organizers who bring these spaces to life.
