Today, I finally fulfilled a promise I made years ago.
In 2019, when I received my Master in Public Administration diploma, I dedicated it to my father who passed away in 2016. On that day, I also made a promise in my heart that when the time came for my PhD, it would be for my mother.
And today, that promise is fulfilled.
This PhD in Public Administration is not just a diploma. It carries every sacrifice, every prayer, every sleepless night, and every moment my mother chose to put her children first before herself. Behind every page I read, every paper I wrote, and every challenge I faced, there was one constant source of strength, my mother.
Ma, this is for you.
For the times you believed in me even when I doubted myself.
For the silent sacrifices you made that I only fully understand now.
For the love that never asked for anything in return.
You may not have sat in my classes or written my dissertation, but every step I took toward this degree was guided by your strength, your values, and your unwavering faith in me.
Pa, I know you are watching from heaven. The promise I made has been kept.
To my mother, the woman who carried our family through every storm, this PhD belongs to you as much as it belongs to me.
Thank you for everything, Ma. This is your victory too. ❤️
