Bagong Kulay, Bagong Pagkakakilanlan.

Mula nung nag-takeover si JAC Group sa operations ni CHER Transport, ang siya ring unti-unting pagrebrand ng mga units nito to MMBC. Perosa kabilang banda, na-upgrade naman yung mga unit na ito into 2x2 seating na masasabi kong mas kumportable.

TRIP REPORT: Onboard DLTB's Stallion Express (and bonus storytime!)

After ng dalawang araw na escapade natin in Bicolandia, we took DLTB's Lazyboy Class pabalik ng Metro Manila from Legazpi.

DLTB's Lazyboy Class, also known as "Stallion Express" is usually scheduled to depart from Legazpi at 06:30PM. Super comfortable ng upuan at halos naka-lie flat ang mga upuan. Similar sa mga business class offerings kapag naka-eroplano ka. Sobrang amazed din ako sa seatbelt sa bawat upuan dahil pang-eroplano talaga. Malamig din ang aircon all the way, kaya naman always bring your blanket for a more comfortable journey.

Travel time lasted for almost 13 hours to PITX, and we made several stopovers along the way sa Libmanan, Calauag at sa may Talipan. And here's where our storytime comes in!

During our 2nd stop sa Calauag, bumaba ako ng bus para makapag-inat ng kaunti. Naging habit ko na everytime na mag-iistop over kami, pinipicturan ko rin yung bus na sinasakyan ko. Yes, di sapat ang isang picture lang!

So after that stopver sa Calauag, pagbalik ko sa kinauupuan ko, dun ko na realize na parang naiwan ko yung cellphone ko sa kalsada. Bilang isang introvert at paalis na din kami by that time, hinayaan ko na lang na "maiwan" yung phone ko sa location. Nung mga panahon na yun, di na ako nakatulog sa biyahe habang ina-absorb ang realidad na wala na talaga ang phone ko.

Pagdating ko sa bahay, naisipan kong i-check ang Find my Mobile service ng phone ko, out of curiosity kung saan na nakarating yung phone ko (since yung katabi naming bus is papunta ng Leyte). To my surprise, nasa Quezon City ang last location ping ng phone ko! So, dun ko narealize na all along, naisakay ko pa sa bus yung phone ko at nahulog ito somewhere!

Dun ko naisipan na sadyain yung garahe ng DLTB at hanapin sa mismong bus na ito yung phone, baka sakaling andun pa. And to my surprise, naipit sa armrest yung phone!

Sa bus crew ng DLTB 28R, isang MARAMING MARAMING SALAMAT PO sa inyong tulong para mahanap yung phone ko! Maging way nawa itong post na ito na makarating ito sa DLTB Management para mabigyan kayo ng parangal.

TRIP REPORT: EDSA Cubao to Naga aboard Raymond Transportation.

Dahil walang pasok sa office gawa ng 4th of July holiday, naisipan kong pumunta sa Naga at Legazpi para makapagliwaliw.

Sa dami ng pagpipiliang bus companies, tanging sa Raymond Transportation lang ako sumasakay papuntang Naga. Hindi ito ang unang pagkakataon na nagpunta ako ng Naga, sadyang nataon lang na nagkaroon ng kaunting aberya nung unang beses kong sumubok na magpunta ng Bicolandia.

Sinakyan natin ang Volvo B8R ni Raymond Transportation. Ang bus na sinakyan natin ay configured in 2x1 seating arrangement at bawat upuan ay merong bus pads. Meron din itong malinis na CR at charging ports sa bawat upuan.

Bagama't mahigit na 6 taon na sa serbisyo ang bus na ito, halata pa rin na top-notch ang naging pag-aalaga ng kumpanya sa bus na ito. May kalumaan na rin tingnan ang mga upuan pero overall, kumportable pa rin ang ating naging pagsakay.

Tumagal ng halos 10 oras ang naging biyahe mula Cubao hanggang Naga. Iisa lang ang naging stopover ng bus sa Calauag, kung saan din usually nagpapalit ang driver ng bus para sa 2nd leg ng biyahe.

Isang taos-pusong pasasalamat sa magigiting na driver-conductor na naghatid sa atin papunta sa Naga ng ligtas! Hanggang sa uulitin po!

Buuuuuuuuuuuuus!

Itsura pa lang sobra na akong nahahabaan sa bus na 'to! 😅 Usually sa Thailand, yung mga first class buses nila ay maihahambing mo sa mga business class seats ng eroplano na parang merong "cove" sa bawat upuan.

Based sa mga nakikita ko sa videos posted sa social media, loaded din ng features ng mga bus na ito, kagaya ng In-seat Entertainment, Charging Stations, at maging ang meal service habang nasa biyahe mismo. Usually dito sa Pilipinas, sa mga first class o sleeper buses, inaabot yung pagkain bago umalis ng terminal yung mga buses.

I wonder, sino kaya ang magiging kauna-unahang bus company ang magrerelease ng ganitong concept dito sa Pilipinas?

The Blue EV Bus of Thailand.

Sa ngayon, marami na rin ang mga bumibiyaheng EV Buses sa Thailand. Karamihan sa mga EV buses nila ay tumatakbo sa mga ruta within Bangkok.

Meanwhile sa Pilipinas, bukod tanging Victory Liner pa lang yata ang merong EV buses na ginagamit for regular passenger service. Karamihan sa mga bagong buses natin ay gumagamit pa rin ng fuel.

I wonder if magiging ganito din ba ang setup sa Pilipinas one day? We'll see.
