Kalahi-CIDSS La Castellana

Kalahi-CIDSS La Castellana Field work, social process and implementation "Pagkilos" is a Filipino term for "action". How it works:
1.

Kalahi-CIDSS Panahon ng Pagkilos (PCRP) is the Philippine Community Resilience Project (PCRP), a World Bank-supported initiative led by the DSWD. The project aims to build community resilience against natural and climate-related hazards by empowering communities to identify their risks and develop and implement Local Climate Change Adaptation Plans (LCCAP). It leverages the Community-Driven Develo

pment (CDD) approach of the KALAHI-CIDSS program to achieve this goal. What it is:
Community-Driven Development:
The project uses the existing KALAHI-CIDSS framework, which empowers communities to participate in development. Focus on Resilience:
PCRP is designed to help communities become more resilient to the impacts of climate change and natural hazards. Partnership:
The project is a collaboration between the DSWD, local government units (LGUs), various national agencies, and communities themselves. Risk Identification:
Communities participate in facilitated processes to identify their specific climate and natural hazard risks.
2. Planning:
Communities develop their own LCCAPs to outline strategies for addressing these risks.
3. Implementation:
LGUs are responsible for implementing the project activities and ensuring the project objectives are met.
4. Capacity Building:
The project helps build the capacity of LGUs and communities to implement these adaptation plans. Key aspects:
Target Areas:
The project prioritizes areas with high poverty incidence, vulnerability to hazards, high stunting rates, and Indigenous Peoples populations. National Support:
The DSWD has partnered with agencies like the DENR, DILG, and DA to support the implementation of PCRP. Community Empowerment:
The goal is to create secure and efficient communities where even natural calamities have less destructive power, ensuring the continuity of Community-Driven Development.

LA CASTELLANA KKB CDD SUB-PROJECT STATUS UPDATE

As of the latest monitoring, the La Castellana KKB CDD sub-projects continue to make steady progress. The Hanging Bridge Project in Barangay Robles has reached a 42.671% physical accomplishment. Meanwhile, the One-Unit, Two-Classroom School Building with Amenities in Barangay Sag-ang has achieved a 77.41% physical accomplishment, making it the most advanced among the ongoing sub-projects. In addition, the Purchase and Installation of the Public Address System in Barangay Cabagna-an has attained a 50.00% physical accomplishment. These accomplishments reflect the continued implementation and progress of the municipality's KKB CDD sub-projects toward their successful completion.

Note: The actual accomplishment percentage is based solely on the installed project components. Material fabrication and on-site delivery are not included in the accomplishment calculation.
