With over 8,500 learners enrolled, Imus National High School (INHS) is among the largest public secondary schools in Cavite. Such size and population require not only academic excellence but, above all, a solid and efficient security system. In this context, police visibility should not be regarded as a sign of weakness, but as a vital layer of protection necessary to maintain peace and order within and around the school.

In previous school years, particularly in 2022, stronger coordination with law enforcement agencies was evident at INHS. Police presence during peak hours helped regulate student entry and exit, prevent possible altercations, and reassure parents who entrust the safety of their children to the institution. However, these visible security measures have considerably decreased, raising concerns among students, guidance personnel, and members of the school community.

These concerns became more apparent on July 23, 2026, when face-to-face classes were shifted to a flexible learning modality following a social media post that allegedly threatened the safety of students, teachers, and school personnel. The post, which circulated in a Facebook group, expressed an intent to cause harm within the school premises, highlighting how security threats can emerge without warning and require an immediate and coordinated response

Haharapin na naman ng mga mag-aaral ng Imus National High School (INHS) ang kambal na hamon ng panibagong taong panuruan at ng rumaragasang panahon ng tag-ulan. Nagdudulot ngayon ng matinding pangamba sa mga magulang at g**o ang pagpasok sa eskwela na sumasabay sa bugso ng mga bagyo at baha. Hindi natin dapat isakripisyo ang kaligtasan at kalusugan ng mga kabataan para lamang sa ngalan ng hindi nauudlot na edukasyon.
