𝗖𝗲𝗯𝘂, 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘂𝗲 𝗔𝗱𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗔𝗦𝗘𝗔𝗡 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗡𝗼𝗻-𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗮𝘆𝘀 (𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟲–𝟴)

Malacañang has expanded the special non-working days for the 48th ASEAN Summit to include Cebu City and Mandaue City, in addition to Lapu-Lapu City and the Municipality of Cordova.

The suspension runs from May 6 to 8.
The amended order (Proclamation No. 1239), signed by Ralph Recto under the authority of Ferdinand Marcos Jr., aims to reduce traffic and ensure security as Cebu hosts regional leaders.

Officials said the added cities are key transport routes for delegates traveling to summit venues, including Mactan Island and the airport. Limiting work and commuting is expected to ease congestion and allow smoother convoy movements.

Work is suspended in both government and private offices, except for essential services such as healthcare, emergency response, and airport operations.

Local authorities, including Cebu City Mayor Nestor Archival, urged residents to follow advisories and plan ahead as heightened security and traffic controls are in place.

Hindi lang ito basta "No Work Today."

Para sa mga amang bumabiyahe ng malayo para sa kinabukasan ng anak, sa mga nanay na multitasking sa loob at labas ng bahay, at sa mga young professionals na "pagod pero lalaban" --saludo kami sa inyo.

Ang dumi sa kamay, ang puyat sa mata, at ang pasensya sa araw-araw ay patunay na walang pangarap ang malayo sa taong masipag. Hindi ka lang nagtatrabaho para sa sahod; nagtatrabaho ka para sa mga taong umaasa sa iyo.

Do you feel the difficulty of Traditional photographers nowadays? Since almost everyone already has a cellphone and can take pictures anywhere, the business of our countrymen who rely on such services is gradually weakening. It's sad to think that the former hit job, now seems to be forgotten by many.

That's why, calling all Mommies and Daddies out there! If you have an extra budget and you come across these street photographers, let's support them. Sometimes, simply taking a picture or paying for their service can go a long way so they can bring food home to their family.

Let's be kind to our neighbor. It doesn't need a lot of money, as long as helping comes from the heart, we will surely make them smile. Let's not let their livelihood be lost because of technological change; let's make them feel we're still there.
