Itโ€™s one thing to talk about storytelling, but itโ€™s a completely different experience to step into the field and shape how those stories are told.

Over the past two days at the BFAR Region 7 Office, it was truly an honor to share my experience and work side by side with 26 Information Officers during our Write-shop Workshop on Content Creation for Social Media. We didnโ€™t just stay in theoryโ€”we went straight into the nitty-gritty, breaking things down, applying techniques, and capturing stories as they happen.

From the fundamentals of photography and videography to documenting real, meaningful moments on the ground, it was inspiring to see everyone embrace the process, step out of their comfort zones, and begin seeing stories through a more intentional and human lens.

More than just building skills, this was about shaping perspective, learning how to tell the stories of our fisherfolk, highlight the impact of programs, and bring to light the everyday realities of the communities we serve.

Deeply grateful for the trust, the openness, and the energy in the room. It means a lot to be given the space to share what Iโ€™ve learned through experience.

This is only the beginning of stronger, more grounded, and more human stories from BFAR Central Visayas.

Just checked out the newly opened Ai-CHA in Banawa, and I think I just found a new chill spot ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿง‹

First thing I noticedโ€”their milk tea isnโ€™t overly sweet, which I personally like. Itโ€™s more balanced, but if youโ€™re someone who wants it sweeter, you can actually request it to match your taste. Love that flexibility.

Also tried their sea salt ice cream (which was FREE when you order a large milk tea during opening day ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿฆ), and honestlyโ€ฆ this was my favorite. Creamy, slightly salty, and super satisfying.

The place itself? Cozy, bright, and clean. It has this modern diner vibe that makes you want to just sit down, hang out, and enjoy your drink.

Definitely a spot Iโ€™d come back toโ€”especially if youโ€™re around Banawa and looking for a new go-to tambayan.
