Iโ€™m truly honored to have been invited to the Grand Launch of Mahi Center, a development that marks a new chapter for Mactanโ€™s business and hospitality scene. Seeing it now, complete with a lifestyle mall, office spaces, and Fairfield by Marriott Cebu Mactan, itโ€™s hard not to feel proud of how far itโ€™s come.

What makes this even more special for me is the history behind it. Back in 2016, I had the chance to photograph the groundbreaking of this very project. I was young, driven, and just genuinely passionate about photography. I didnโ€™t ask for much, just to be credited for my work (๐˜Š๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ๐˜ค๐˜ฌ ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ ๐˜ญ๐˜ข๐˜ด๐˜ต ๐˜ฑ๐˜ฉ๐˜ฐ๐˜ต๐˜ฐ, ๐˜จ๐˜ณ๐˜ข๐˜ฃ๐˜ฃ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฅ ๐˜ง๐˜ณ๐˜ฐ๐˜ฎ ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ ๐˜ˆ๐˜ฑ๐˜ฑ๐˜ญ๐˜ฆ๐˜–๐˜ฏ๐˜ฆ ๐˜ž๐˜ฆ๐˜ฃ๐˜ด๐˜ช๐˜ต๐˜ฆ).

Fast forward to today, and I find myself here again, now as a vlogger and part of the media, covering the official launch of something I witnessed from its very first steps.

And of course, it hits differently knowing that Mahi Center is home to some of my favorite brands, Abaca Baking Company - Mahi Center, KFC, The Metro Stores, and more. Itโ€™s a place that already feels familiar, yet excitingly new at the same time.

Grateful for moments like this, and for the journey that led me here. Thank you to Bigseed Dana, Richelle, Sheena and Danica for making this possible and for giving me the chance to witness this story come full circle.

During my recent visit to Cebu Safari & Adventure Park, I had the chance to explore not just the attractions, but also their dining experience, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of the trip.

After a quick stop at the Safari Manor, we headed to
The ๐’๐ž๐ซ๐ž๐ง๐ ๐ž๐ญ๐ข ๐๐š๐ซ & ๐‚๐š๐Ÿ๐ž, where breakfast is served for in-house guests, and lunch or dinner can also be arranged with prior reservation.

The setting alone is already worth it. Youโ€™re dining with a breathtaking view of the park, with the sun shining and a cool breeze flowing through, simple, relaxing, and very refreshing.

We ordered a mix of Filipino and international dishes: Spring Rolls, Pancit, Chicken Satay, Sweet and Sour Fish, and soup. Everything was served fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. You can really appreciate the quality in every dish.

I also want to highlight the service. The staff were warm, polite, and very attentive, genuinely embodying the ๐…๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ฉ๐ข๐ง๐จ ๐๐ซ๐š๐ง๐ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐„๐ฑ๐œ๐ž๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ž๐ง๐œ๐ž.

Having attended a Department of Tourism seminar on this, I can say itโ€™s always something I look out for when visiting resorts and hotelsโ€ฆ and Cebu Safari absolutely delivers.

To end the meal, I had coffee and dessert. The latte was surprisingly good, especially considering we were dining at the peak of a 170-hectare forest. The cakes, made in-house by their pastry chef, were also worth trying.

While many visit Cebu Safari for the animals, and rightfully so, with over 127 species to see, itโ€™s also a place where you can enjoy good food in a peaceful setting, without it being too expensive.

I found myself just sitting back, enjoying coffee and cake, and taking in the view of the trees and open sky. Moments like these make the experience even more memorable.

And if you really want to take things to the next level, book an overnight stay. From cozy cabins to the iconic ๐’๐š๐Ÿ๐š๐ซ๐ข ๐Œ๐š๐ง๐จ๐ซ (yes, the one where you can have ๐’ƒ๐’“๐’†๐’‚๐’Œ๐’‡๐’‚๐’”๐’• ๐’˜๐’Š๐’•๐’‰ ๐’ˆ๐’Š๐’“๐’‚๐’‡๐’‡๐’†๐’” ๐Ÿฆ’), itโ€™s a full experience worth trying.
