I went to the dentist today for my braces adjustment.

Afterward, I took a stroll around SM CDO Uptown and the Northwing and took three photos. I’ll post them separately later because one of them is also part of my Higalaay Festival 2026 project. Hahaha.

The sun was still out around 4 PM, which was great, but it was really, really hot.

I stopped at a cafΓ© to cool down with an iced matcha. No sugar. Non-fat milk. Just the earthy taste. The grassiest taste.

I must have been a goat in my past life.

At the center of Limketkai Mall, two golden fish swim above the crowd. They brought to mind the old Kagay-anon legend of the Kugtong, a giant fish said to sleep beneath the river near St. Augustine Cathedral. According to the tale, its movements are felt as tremors across the city.

The city may keep changing, but its stories still find new places to live.

I was about to take a photo of my mom and relatives when this little dog suddenly ran up beside them.

It looked straight at the camera, stayed just long enough for one frame, then casually walked away as if it had already done its job.

I caught this at Shopwise’s basement parking. It felt strangely empty, as if it was just us and rows of parked cars. The low fluorescent lights gave the whole place an eerie stillness that made me stop and take a photo.

Sometimes, the quietest places leave the strongest impression.

I was walking around Limketkai Center when I noticed their newly redesigned checkered road. I don’t know why, but I immediately liked it.

It’s funny how something as simple as a new pattern can make a place you’ve walked through countless times feel completely different.

A rainy night, an unexpected hour at the cafΓ©, and a few frames that almost never happened.

Some memories are planned. Others only exist because the rain refused to stop.

Maybe that’s why I like carrying a camera around. The best photos usually happen while waiting for something else.

One thing I appreciate about Filipino celebrations is how the table brings different kinds of food together. There is usually a mix of protein-rich dishes like roasted chicken and menudo, vegetables, fresh fruits, and everyone’s favorite comfort food.

This was during my parents’ anniversary. I only planned to have a light snack, but I still ended up buying McDonald’s fries on the way. πŸ˜…

Ayala Centrio has always been my favorite mall in Cagayan de Oro City. I walked into Heal Thy Self without planning to eat there, and ended up discovering one of the healthiest meals I’ve had.

Their chicken roll was packed with leafy vegetables and chicken, making it a high-fiber, high-protein meal. At β‚±345 (about US$6), it was so filling that I had to give the other half to my mom.
