How We Estimated the Net Worth of a Public Servant
We estimated the net worth of the individuals listed by using the most credible and lawful method, reviewing their official SALN (Statement of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth).

We reviewed the official SALNs, which public officials are legally required to file annually.
• Real properties (such as land, buildings, and other residential assets)
• Personal properties (including cash, vehicles, investments, and valuable items)
• Liabilities (such as loans, mortgages, and other forms of debt)
• Business interests or financial affiliations
• Assets of their spouse and dependent children

We Also Cross-Checked Public Disclosures and Media Reports
In instances where the SALN was incomplete or unavailable, we consulted secondary sources such as:
• Investigative journalism and news articles
• Public declarations of business affiliations
• Verified records of real estate ownership
• Campaign finance disclosures submitted during elections
• Documents and filings from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)

We Also Checked Third-Party Sources
When official disclosures weren’t available, we looked at third-party estimates. These use information like business ownership, government salaries (usually modest), public real estate records, and campaign details. They also consider family wealth, especially in well-known political families, and lifestyle clues from public appearances or social media, like luxury items and properties.
