40 Heads Brahman Cattle Awarded to Bagabag To***co Farmers
In a meaningful show of support for local agriculture, 40 Brahman cattle were awarded to to***co farmers in Bagabag, reinforcing the provinceâs commitment to strengthening livelihoods in rural communities.
Eduardo Jasmin, president of the local farmersâ association, expressed deep gratitude and emphasized the value of to***co farming in their community. He shared that initiatives like this remind farmers that their work truly matters and is recognized. Jasmin also voiced a hopeful appeal that local farmers continue to be prioritized in development programs, noting how much they already contribute to the provinceâs growth.
Dr. Patricio Moreno, Provincial Veterinarian (PVET), highlighted that the livestock distribution is part of a broader â±2 million agricultural support initiative. He explained that a proposal had been carefully prepared to ensure the sustainability of the program. To maintain the health and productivity of the cattle, routine veterinary careâincluding vaccinations and injections every six monthsâwill be implemented.
Governor Atty. Jose "Jing" V. Gambito, in his message, reassured farmers that the provincial government remains firmly committed to their welfare. He stressed that agriculture continues to be one of his top priorities, recognizing that a large portion of Nueva Vizcayaâs population depends on farming and gardening for their livelihood.
âWhen I studied the economic landscape of our province, it became clear that agriculture must be a priority,â the governor said. âWe have many projects directed toward supporting our farmers, and we will continue pushing forward for sustained progress.â
The awarding of the Brahman cattle is seen not just as a one-time assistance effort, but as part of a long-term vision to uplift farmers, improve food production, and ensure a more stable agricultural future for Nueva Vizcaya. /kad
