Seventy years of sunrises. Of love given freely. Of hard days met with a soft heart, and a smile that never really left.

We see someone turning 70 and we notice the number first. But look closer. Every line on her face is a chapter. Every strand of gray is a crown she earned. And that light in her eyes? It has been there all along.

This is what 70 really looks like. Still radiant. Still here. Still worth celebrating out loud.

Turning eighteen feels strange in the most beautiful way.

One moment, you’re still the little girl everyone used to protect. Then suddenly, life starts looking at you differently. Bigger dreams. Bigger decisions. Bigger responsibilities.

But behind all the excitement of finally becoming “legal” is a quiet reminder of how fast time moves. The late-night talks with family, the childhood memories, the innocence you slowly outgrow. They all become part of the person you’re becoming.

A client, (Ma’am Jen), reached out to arrange a surprise photoshoot for her daughter. We carefully planned everything just a day before the shoot to ensure the moments would feel natural and memorable. Since I’m accustomed to approaching strangers as part of my photography style, I pretended to be casually roaming the area when I “happened” to come across them.

And yes, Josel, it was your mom’s plan all along.

Thank you for trusting me with such a special occasion. Belated happy birthday! I’m truly grateful to have been part of your celebration. Special thanks as well to Mikay for being part of the surprise.

Love, in its purest form, is about choosing each other every single day, without hesitation, without fear.
