While in Mt Hagen I couldn’t help but stop and capture some of these beautiful flowers. Nature up here just hits different. PNG is full of hidden beauty.

Support our local musicians; they are the rhythm and voice of our culture. Every song they write, every verse they sing, carries stories of our struggles, our joy, and our identity as a people. Their music connects us, inspires us, and gives life to our community. When you support them, you’re not just listening to a tune; you’re standing behind real talent, hard work, and the heartbeat of our local music scene.

AI-manipulated versions of their songs might sound polished or “fresh,” but they rob artists of their authenticity and recognition. These artificial recreations take someone’s original art, their voice, their melody, their message, and twist it into something soulless. It’s unfair and disrespectful to the people who pour their time, creativity, and emotion into making something real. Music is more than sound; it’s a reflection of human experience, and that’s something AI can’t feel or replicate.

So let’s make a stand. Stop streaming and sharing AI-modified versions of local songs, and instead promote the originals.

Tom and Sawong were born as conjoined twins on the 9th of October 2025.

They were born just 5 minutes walk away from the location where the first German Missionaries arrived on the 12th of July 1886 and brought Christianity to Papua New Guinea.

Tom and Sawong are today 29 days old and have the will to live. All they need for now is food and air. They are on supplementary oxygen as Tom has a heart defect.

Papua New Guinea is a developing nation facing significant development challenges.

Tom and Sawong are far away from the worlds best care to improve their health in preparation for final separation
Whilst communications with a hospital in Germany is progressing well, we are running out of time.

Would anyone know anyone globally who can take on the twins swiftly?

We continue to reach out to hospitals and specialists globally in Asia, Europe, America, and beyond.

If the, reader of this Mayday Call can assist or connect us to those who can, please act now.

This is not just plea but a call for support, compassion, and action.

Let’s unite to give Tom and Sawong the chance they deserve.
Please contact us if you want to help Tom and Sawong through this journey...

Always grateful to the club that gave me my first shot at Sports Photography. And for giving me all the creative freedom I needed to grow in the space up till this day.

Once A Dabari, Always A Dabari. 🦘🇵🇬

CLUB MAN FEATURE

This photo was shared to us by Trevor Mallen who has been the Central Dabaris Rugby League photographer/ social media cordinator since our inception in 2019.

If you've wondered who has been the guy behind the lens since 2019 then now you know!

The picture has sort of come full circle as it also features Morea Morea Jnr and Gairo Voro who both debuted with the mighty red and blue in the PNG National Rugby League Competition, then SP PNG Hunters and now the PNG National Rugby League Competition Kumuls through this franchise.

Trevor Mallen has over the years shared some of the best rugby league photography rivaling that of the NRL, he has captured the essence of our great club not only Morea Morea Jnr and Gairo Voro but all the highs and lows of the club.

Go on Day 1 Bala you deserve this shield just as much as our two meros who represented us so well in the black, red and yellow.

Central Dabaris is proud that we can contribute to the game at the highest level off and on the field.
