My Journey with Greyhound Security (2022–2026)

My name is Absolom Tommy from the Southern Highlands Province of Papua New Guinea. I joined Greyhound Security in 2022 when the company first started. Becoming part of Greyhound was one of the greatest opportunities in my life.

During my journey, I faced some personnel issues that caused me to leave work for a short time. However, I was reinstated on May 15th, 2023, and since then I have continued working faithfully with Greyhound Security until today.

I started as a Static Guard and later moved into the Response Unit. Through hard work, discipline, and commitment, I continued to grow within the company. This year, I was proudly promoted to the position of Security Site Manager.

Working with Greyhound Security has taught me many valuable lessons. My bosses were not just leaders to us — they were like fathers and mothers. They treated us like family, always understanding and supportive. Even their children became like brothers and sisters to us.

Greyhound Security helped shape many of us into better people. We learned discipline, teamwork, responsibility, and respect. Most of us grew up together within this company, building strong bonds and unforgettable memories.

Greyhound is more than just a company to us — it is family.

We are Greyhound.
We stand together, and we will move together, as always.

What an absolute honor and privilege it was to meet Amie Pearce, the Wellbeing Manager from Central Queensland Capras!

On behalf of VadaVada Goilords Rugby League Club in PNG, we want to extend our deepest gratitude to Central Queensland Capras – a huge thank you to Amie and the entire team for donating two full sets of jerseys to our boys! This generous support is doing wonders to boost and motivate our young players. Rugby is PNG's national sport, and everyone here loves footy, so this means more than words can say.

I also want to be honest and share that this is a milestone moment for me personally – I've never organized a rugby league club, sought sponsors, or worked to create pathways for our community's young people to shine in rugby league before. This is my first time taking on such a role, and your kindness has made all the difference.

From the bottom of my heart, and on behalf of myself, my family, and our entire club management team – thank you so much. We wish Central Queensland Capras all the very best for the 2026 Intrust Super Cup season!
