This afternoon, the Butterflies Club medical check was successfully carried out at 4 Mile Works 🦋. Players completed their medical assessments and shots were taken during the check-up as part of ensuring everyone is fit, healthy, and ready ahead.

Young playmaker Gairo Voro is attracting growing interest from overseas clubs, but his elder brother and mentor Wari Illamanuwale has urged him to remain with the London Broncos and continue his development in the UK.

Reports have surfaced that the Perth Bears, who are preparing for their entry into the NRL in 2027, have offered Voro a development contract as they look to secure emerging talent.

However, Illamanuwale believes the timing is not right for the young five-eighth to make a move.

“He’s in a good place at the moment.

Another season with the Broncos will give him more exposure and help him grow as a player,” he said.

He emphasised that his advice is focused on long-term development rather than rejecting opportunities.

“It’s not about turning down opportunities, it’s about timing.

He needs to build his game properly and be ready for the next step.”

Voro’s steady progress has drawn praise from London Broncos coach Jason Demetriou, with interest from NRL clubs seen as recognition of his potential.

Closer to home, the PNG Chiefs are also reportedly interested in securing Voro’s services.

While Illamanuwale acknowledged the pride of representing a local side, he said any decision would be carefully considered.

“If something comes up, whether it’s here or overseas, we’ll look at it closely.

It has to be the right move for his future,” he said.

For now, Voro’s camp is focused on patience, development, and making the right move at the right time.
