By reviewing the "Lights" I took recently at f7... Transparency was so irregularly bad on these, that I decided to take new ones at f10 in brief but far better conditions with the Thor's Helmet nebula higher in the sky. This is just one hour exposure at f10 with the active optics... To me it looks better, but I still have to take many more hours to keep it at maximum resolution. To be honest, I'm not really sure the weather is going to cooperate nextly here... Anyway... This is my best attempt so far... One never stops learning!!! C11 F10 with SX LF AO / Canon T3 modified by myself / Astronomik CLS filter. I hope you like it !!!

M33/ The Triangulum galaxy. C11 f/7 Modified Canon T3 CLS filtered and... WO Star 71 APO with ASI 174MM and Astronomik 12nm Ha filter to add and enhance the Ha data on the galaxy color image... The color and Ha data were taken simultaneously, so I got advantage from the few clear skies better and saved time greatly!!! I know very well that's not the best framing at this focal length- A mosaic is needed!!!- 1.5 hours total exposure for color and; of course, 1.5 hours of Ha... Too few!!!! So see you next year, M33 !!!!!!! Ahhhh!! the tilted image was on purpose ;) Hope you like it!!!!

I love this colorful area in Monoceros constellation, so I gave it a try last Dec 28th!!! Unfortunately it was clear for a couple of hours at best... NGC2170 ( The Angel Nebula) / NGC2182 nebulae, among others... Some of the stars remind me the ones in M45... This nebula is far fainter though. (2,400 light years vs 400!!!!) This parcial result is just 1.5 hours total exposure. C11 f/7 / Innovations Foresight ONAG / SX Lodestar X2 / Modified Canon T3. Irregular transparency affected guiding... I wish I could take at least one more hour!!! I'll be ready in case of clear skies next New Moon phase... So difficult to find clear skies nextly... Let's see!!!!!!! Happy New Year to all my friends !!!!!!!

Algunas galaxias "reviven" cuando les agregamos Ha...
Entre muchas, aquí les dejo dos ejemplos que voy logrando terminar: M88 y M83 a las cuales les agregué, 4 horas a la primera y 2 horas respectivamente...
Además de destacar didácticamente las zonas donde son dinámicas en producción de estrellas, hay una cuota estética que no puedo obviar...
C11 / SX LF Active Optics / Unmodified CanonT3 / ASI 174MM / ASI 224MC / Astronomik Ha 12nm filter / Innovations Foresight ONAG .
Quizá en ambos casos, más en M88, faltaron más horas en Ha, motivo por el cual he aumentado el ruido involuntariamente... Pero sé que es el camino correcto con estas galaxias.

NGC1977 "The Running Man nebula" Ok... It's not as "red sensitive" as my modified Canon (BTW it's not working), but I was surprised of the amount of detail and low noise of this test... This shot was taken with my old Canon T3 which is standard (not modified).
I was inspired by Carlos Trujillo and his great job made with a DSLR also (a Nikon).
C11 at f/7 autoguided through my ONAG. 12x 5' 1 hour total exposure properly calibrated, taken through variable transparency.
What's even more amazing to me it's that my T3 used to give me horrible horizontal noise patterns...
Last week, I upgraded the firmware of the T3 over the internet... To my surprise, the results are far cleaner/ smoother now, and no trace of the banding!!!!!
Being my modified Canon T5i unusable by now, this is a good replacement to give Chrominance to my mono galaxies Luminances. I'd just have to add Ha signal through my monochrome ASI174MM.
I can't help being glad for the result... A bit bias to the dim side, brightest stars clipped also, but I like this test!!!

An experiment in which I blended my modified Canon T5i image of the Crab nebula CLS filtered with my very recent 1 hour exposure of the same target with the ASI224MC IR blocked... Given the very small sensor size of the ZWO CMOS, M1 looks huge this way... Hope you like it!!!!

Hola con todos!! Contento a pesar de todo... No voy a ahondar mucho en lo mal que se está portando el clima... Una vez solamente les diré que las condiciones están siendo frustrantes. Acaso se nos adelantan las lluvias... Bueno, no sería raro, no haré más drama sobre esto.

Hi everybody!! Poor conditions... Nonetheless, I'm glad. I do not think a good idea to elaborate on the weather misbehavior... I'd say for once that the conditions are being frustrating lately. Do the rains come earlier??
