My kids will forever be my favourite subjects.
Not because they’re easy to photograph (often they’re not).
Not because they cooperate (well, sometimes they do).
But because somewhere along the way, they changed the way I see.
I’ve always loved light and storytelling and beautiful imagery. But these two taught me that the photos I treasure most aren’t always the perfect ones.
They’re the ones that feel like us.
The photos that tell the story of them, the sports they play, the teams they support, their favourite colour, that thing with their hair, and the beautiful brotherly bond that they share.
And no matter how much this business grows, I’ll never stop documenting these ordinary, fleeting seasons of their childhood too.
