My first encounter with a Leopard Seal. Amazing creature, and It is huge, this one was well over 2 meter long!!! So cool to get to see one up close. Got to watch it enjoying the sun on the beach all the way til it jumped back into the water, so funny how it can just look clumsy on land and so graceful in the water. An amazing experience!

Sometimes a cool photo can seem bad just because you´re not using state of the art equipment. When it comes to photography you can still get amazing photos by just using a compact cameras or your phone, but not always under all conditions. (unless you are ridiculously good) but often all you need is a good editing software (in this case Lightroom) and a little bit of knowledge to get some ordinary pictures look "professional". A friend of mine took this underwater with a compact camera and asked what I could do with it, and after a few hours of work (especially removing tiny specs in the water) the picture came out all right. Just posting this here to show you what you can do with your ordinary photos to make them look a little bit more special.

This little birdie lives in my new garden, he is just a true beauty. So happy to get a kingfisher on camera.

Cyclone "Pam" is coming closer, this is from this morning. "Pam" is suppose to hit us at 7 tonight. gonna be stormy. Right now we can definitely feel the wind and the rain is starting to pour down and the sea is staring to act up. Power is expected to cut out tonight, so more pictures tomorrow. (or whenever power get back) Everyone is now strapping down everything in their gardens and shopping food like crazy. Everyone have a lovely stormy night:D

The cyclone Pam is now powering its way through the Pacific´s and will come close to where I currently live in NZ on Sunday. Hoping for the best for friends around in Fiji and Vanuatu that you all stay safe and hopefully the cyclone (rated 5 now!!) won´t cause to much damage. Stay safe and dry!;)
Meanwhile I´ll be posting picture of the weather conditions from NZ (Let´s hope there will only be ocean pictures)
