The secret elopement of J & L - that I can finally share 💍🤍

These two came all the way over from Australia with their sweet girl to elope. And the best part? Their family didn’t know! 🤫

With a special connection to Queenstown, they knew this was where they wanted to tie the knot, so up to beautiful Moke Lake we went. And I have a feeling they’ll be back to this little corner of the world again and again. 🥹

What started as their Elopement package, genuinely felt like I’d made some new friends by the end of it. We had the absolute best time, there were plenty of laughs, and a lot of cookies were consumed thanks to my wee new friend. 🍪😂

And make sure you watch right to the end for the sweetest family cuddle, it honestly made me tear up with happiness behind the camera. 🥹🤍

HI, I’M LISA ❤️‍🔥

The face behind Sugar & Spice Films - and quite possibly the person who will be getting just as excited about your wedding day as you are.

I wanted to put a face to the name because, just like choosing your photographer or videographer, choosing your content creator is about more than loving their work. You want someone whose energy, personality and way of capturing things feels like a good fit for you.

So, a little about me:

I’m forever the photo/video girl of the group. Hiking with friends? I’m capturing it. Beautiful dinner? There’s a Reel. Epic sunset? Give me two seconds.
I’ve always loved documenting the moments as they happen, but after creating content for brands, I realised what I loved most was capturing people experiencing something and giving them a way to relive it afterwards.

And what better experience to capture than your wedding day? 💍

I feel incredibly lucky every time someone trusts me with such an important day and I genuinely put my whole heart into it. I’m there for the happy tears, the belly laughs, the nervous excitement, the ch*****ne, the dance floor chaos and all those ‘little’ moments happening in between.

When I’m not filming weddings, you’ll usually find me around beautiful Central Otago- camera in hand, out hiking, chasing mountain-top sunrises with a coffee, exploring somewhere or hanging out with my dogs, partner and my favourite people. 🤍

So if you’re looking for someone bubbly, genuine, a little bit excitable and very invested in capturing your day exactly as it felt - I might just be your girl. 🥂

A logo is just a logo.
A brand is a feeling. 🤍

As I begin the exciting process of rebranding Sugar & Spice Films, I’ve been thinking a lot about why branding actually matters.

It’s not about having the prettiest logo or the trendiest colours. It’s about creating something that genuinely reflects who I am, how I work, and what couples can expect when they invite me into one of the biggest days of their lives. 🫶

When you book me, you’re not just booking someone to film content on an iPhone.

You’re booking someone who will quietly blend into your day, cheer you on, calm your nerves, fluff your dress, fix your veil, laugh with your bridal party, and capture all the little moments you didn’t even realise were happening.

I never want couples to choose me simply because I’m cheaper than someone else or because I offer a certain package.

I want them to choose me because they connect with me. Because they love my creativity, trust my eye for storytelling, and know I’ll fit seamlessly into their day.

That’s what a brand should do. It should tell a story long before you ever meet the person behind it.

I can’t wait to bring the next chapter of Sugar & Spice Films to life, one that feels even more like me. ❤️‍🔥
