Letting go 🌱🌸🤎🍂

First we bloom,
soft-faced and full of light.
Then life brushes colour into us,
deep and wild and bright.
But even flowers learn the art
of fading without shame,
their petals thinning into lace,
still whispering their name.
Grief is not the end of love,
nor beauty’s final breath.
It is the quiet changing shape
of all that outlives death.

What secrets does the forest hold?

Daily sunrises as I drive to work.

Every morning, before the day has fully found its voice,
the road carries me forward beneath a sky still waking.

Some days the sun rises softly,
a pale gold whisper through the mist.

Other days it breaks through clouds like hope itself,
pouring light over paddocks, hills, trees, and quiet places.

On the drive to work,
there is magic —
the world half-asleep,
the horizon glowing,
the day stretching open in front of me.

Even when I am tired,
even when the week feels heavy,
the sunrise reminds me:

There is always light arriving.
There is always beauty waiting on the ordinary road.
There is always a new beginning,
quietly rising.
