I've been working hard on this one and I'm stoked to finally share it!

I know many of you are here for the motorbikes, but mountain biking is something I love just as much, so here's a bit of a different adventure!

I headed out with Peter, Graham and Cooz to tackle some of Nelson's challenging Grade 5 MTB trails on my little Specialized Levo SL.

It's a 40-minute adventure, so grab a cuppa, sit back and enjoy the show!

I was lucky enough to catch up with Tim McIver at the recent Denniston Hill Climb 2026 back in February and have a chat about the incredible Ford Es**rt Mk2 he was driving at the event. A big thanks to Tim for taking the time to talk about the car.

This Es**rt is something pretty special. It was built by Den Motorsport in Northern Ireland, a company well known for building high-end competition Ford Es**rts for rally and hill climb events around the world. Their builds take the classic Mk2 Es**rt platform and combine it with modern motorsport engineering, making them some of the most sought-after Es**rt builds in motorsport today. According to Den Motorsport, they specialize in constructing Mk2 Es**rts from the ground up for international rally competition (Den Motorsport official website).

I’ve always had a soft spot for Es**rts myself. Back in my younger days I owned a few Mk1 and Mk2 Es**rts, so it was pretty cool seeing a machine like this up close and hearing Tim talk about it.

Super stoked to share some footage from the Denniston Hill Climb 2026, held on the West Coast of New Zealand’s South Island NZ.

This was my first time attending the Denniston Hill Climb car sprint up to the Denniston Plateau. I jumped on the motorcycle and headed over to Waimangaroa to check it out, and it did not disappoint. The Westland Car Club put on an awesome weekend of grassroots motorsport with some seriously impressive cars tackling a challenging hill climb.

Luckily, I had my action camera with me, so here’s a selection of clips capturing the atmosphere, the cars, and the unique West Coast scenery that makes this event so special.
If you’re into hill climbs, car sprints, or local NZ motorsport, this one’s worth a watch.
