Spring Flowers are here. Oh it’s so great to have all the colours back. Love the pinks of the tulips and snapdragons (from ) mixed with whatever I could find in the garden.

I keep wondering if I should refrain and refine but love putting it all together so I’ll keep going what what feels good in the moment (the purity of being creative right?).

What are your favourite Spring flowers?

Autumn Forage - such a pleasure to just walk out the front door and ramble around the neighbourhood looking for beauties of right now - leaves, mushrooms, lichen, rosehips, pears and seed heads.

There are little worlds that carry on right under our noses. Just look… get off the beaten path and listen with all your senses. It’s a precious thing.

Prints available on request.

THE FIRST SPRING BOUQUET - This morning I heard the sweet trill of a wax eye tauhou which I haven’t heard for awhile and then later a Sky Lark! The awakening is starting. Even with an imminent massive snowfall predicted for tomorrow Spring energy is starting to move.

And the creative urge came back again too with these gorgeous hellebores, snowdrops and first virburnum flowers.

It will be up in shop soon (which is getting a revamp so pop in before I decide to take some prints down!).

Even in the dead of winter her grace, beauty and delight shines through. As we monitor the frost, snow and rain and we start thinking about pruning the roses the Hellebores start coming up. Always first to remind us of the wheel always turning.

First the whites, then the pinks and pale apricots and then the deep burgundies. Misted by rain, undisturbed by ice or snow they provide a little glimmer of Spring. A joy for the heart amidst the grey.

Sometimes it’s better to not make the creating complicated but just get out and take a photo with my iPhone and create. Just create. To get out of my business strategy/marketing brain.

It’s also that my son and his friend are throwing a ball up and down the stairs which does not bode well for bringing out the proper camera and tri-pod lolz!!

There’s still time to create with the hellebores over the next month or so. These guys are super early.

First one with .wildcraft preset.

Just apples. As soon as we could we planted a mix of early, mid and late apple trees - just 6 plus a couple of dwarfs. That means we have apples from March till early June. These are the lovely Pink Lady. A lovely eating apple.

The apple - the epitome of simple elegance and Autumn.

A bit of a look into just one of 3 creations I did today with painter . We did a collab with roses earlier in the year which she has nearly finished.

These are large scale painted canvases - so beautiful- but I can’t show it till it’s ready! In the meantime we did 3 more creations today - all autumnal feels. I’ll edit them and she’ll paint her version. Then when ready you’ll be able to see both options - although there will only ever be just one of hers to purchase.

Stay tuned.

Hi there. How are you all? First really decent on ground frost this morning. It's really cold. But, I'm keen to get into the garden and start tidying up. Garlic is in, some greens are still going strong.

But, for now my focus is on tidying up this "business garden". I still love taking photos/creating art in this way and have lots of ideas. My business coaching is feeling so good but I'll be adding a bit more time in my schedule for this love. And to develop a different brand strategy (yes, you may see the same photos across both!).

You can pop over to my website oliviadayflowers.com for all the beautiful (imho) artwork that you can get printed and sent directly to you door. And I'll be posting more consistently here with reminders and new ideas as the seasons change. Seed heads, pumpkins, apples, mushrooms all in the ideas bucket.

As we head into the first week of winter, ski season, Matariki what are you loving right now in your garden?
