Porto Venere was such a hidden gem on the coastline. It's not actually a part of the 5 cities and as such gets a lot less foot traffic, and feels much more authentic (but still a bit touristy) 🇮🇹
There are nice public areas for swimming including for waterpolo
And old fishing boats with weathered crew. This guy was declining this fishing net the entire time I was in the city, about 5 hours, just standing in the sun
The grotto next to the church has fanstatic swimming and is almost surreal at sunset!
Something about being next to water is just 👌🤌
Spotten some hidden ruins and thought it looked cool
10/10 would visit again, one of the restaurants in this photo had the best gluten free pizza I've had on this trip!!
