This image is simple in its presence but speaks of balance and space! My intention was to capture the little farm shed, but I'm drawn into the lone tree on the hill and the vastness of the sky. The clouds tell a whole story of their own! I absolutely love this image!

This is my version of the Wanaka Tree, but it's not in Wanaka it's in Hawkes Bay. I drive past this tree all the time and think one day I'm gonna photograph that tree... and the other day I finally did!
I now feel this is the beginning of a beautiful relationship between me and this tree 🤭

I saved the best until last! GOLD!!!
Fire starter!
This piece was by far the most technically difficult and was a huge leap of faith. This mixed media piece did my head in creating it, but I loved it and was proud to enter it. This year I was determined to be brave and try something very different and it definitely paid off.
Thanks to the judges who saw my creativity and the level of technical work that went into this.
The flames on the outside of the mount board are drawn in pencil by hand. The planning and process for this image was huge, but yes absolutely worth it!
