✨ A little confidence, a little creativity & a whole lot of laughs! ✨

I recently had the chance to do a little session with one of my best friends, Sarah, around the beautiful Matamata Country Club and one of our local parks 🌿🤍

This shoot was about more than just taking photos. It was about helping Sarah step outside her comfort zone and see herself the way the people who love her see her — beautiful, confident and completely herself 🫶

At the same time, it was the perfect opportunity for me to get more comfortable with my camera, experiment with different locations and continue learning and growing as a photographer 📸✨

We had so much fun wandering around Matamata, finding little spots to shoot and creating some beautiful memories along the way. Sometimes the best sessions are the ones where you can just relax, laugh and be yourself 🤍

There’s something truly special about creating photos that tell more than just a story — they hold memories, meaning, and a piece of someone’s heart. 🖤🤠

I recently had the absolute pleasure of working with talented Te Aroha country artist James Brodie to create promotional photos for his upcoming album, StillWater Heights. 🎶

The vision behind this session was inspired by the heart of the album itself — small-town vibes, growing older, nostalgia, and holding onto the best parts of your life along the way. 🤍

📍 Matamata was the perfect place to bring this vision to life, and it holds an especially meaningful place in James’ heart. It’s where his grandmother lived until she sadly passed away last year, making this session about so much more than just album promotion.

From the country scenery to the horses, the old-town feeling and all the little details in between, the creativity flowed so naturally throughout this entire shoot. ✨ I absolutely loved stepping outside the box and bringing this vision to life alongside James.

Sessions like this are a reminder of why I love photography so much — capturing stories, memories and moments that mean something. 📸🤍

✨ WELCOME TO KOA COLLECTIVE.NZ ✨

If you’re new here — hi, I’m Katie! 🤍 I’m the face behind KoaCollective.nz, and I’m so excited to finally introduce you to this new chapter of my photography journey.

You may know me from Lens Captured, but after a lot of thought, growth and a few big life changes, I’ve decided it was time for a fresh start. 🌿

Lens Captured is officially becoming KoaCollective.nz. 🤎

This business has grown and changed alongside me, and I wanted a name that felt more personal, meaningful and true to who I am. Koa Collective is something I’m incredibly proud of, and I can’t wait to build it into something even bigger and better.

Along with the name change, there’s another BIG change…

📍 I’ve relocated from Matamata to Hamilton!

After calling Matamata home and building my photography business there, I’m now officially starting a new chapter in Hamilton. This means I’m opening my books to all my beautiful Hamilton locals and surrounding areas, while still welcoming my Matamata clients who want to make the trip. 🥹🤍

For those who don’t know me, I’m a young mum, a photographer, a creative and someone who genuinely loves capturing the little moments that you never want to forget.

Whether it’s your growing family, your babies, your pregnancy, your relationship, your confidence or simply a season of life you want captured — I want to create photographs that feel like YOU.

I’m so grateful for everyone who has supported me through Lens Captured, booked with me, shared my work, recommended me, liked my posts or simply followed along. You’ve helped me get to this point, and I genuinely couldn’t have done it without you. 🤍
