A beautiful glimpse of Sri Lankan culture, tradition and artistry before these talented dancers travelled from Christchurch to Wellington to represent our heritage on an important national stage.

I had the pleasure of photographing these wonderful performers before their journey...... capturing their energy, elegance and dedication as they prepared to showcase the beauty of Sri Lankan traditional dance.

On Wednesday, 26 August 2026, the NZSL Cultural Foundation proudly performed a traditional Sri Lankan welcome dance at the New Zealand Parliament in Wellington.

It was wonderful to see our culture, traditions and artistic heritage being shared with the wider New Zealand community.
