Just like a rose, I, too, consist of layers. I, too, am opening up and allowing people to bask in the things that bring me peace, love, an abundance of happiness and fulfillment. Being a photographer isn't just about connecting with what I love, it's about connecting with myself, creating has healed me in an abundance of ways. Chasing the raw, magical moments with people.

The first image is a re-creation from our first (08/08/26) creative session (Tuakiri wāhine).

Tuakiri wāhine → empowerment.
Empowerment is what this session used to be called.
But the more I sat with it - the more I felt like it didn't belong. They are so much deeper than just empowering the person that stands in front of you - and I needed a name that could reflect that → that's where tuakiri wāhine comes in.

Tuakiri wāhine is about uncovering who she is - who you are. All the glorious layers. Just like a rose. 🌹 Just like a tulip. 🌷 There is so much beauty under each layer. 🥀
It is about reconnecting with her ‼️
It is about showing up for her ‼️
It is pouring love back into her ‼️
It is honoring who she was, who she is & who she is yet to be ‼️
It is about celebrating her ‼️
It is about allowing her to be seen - fully, unapologetically, in all that she embodies ‼️

SHE IS YOU; YOU ARE HER.

You deserve to be seen. 🦋
You deserve to be honored. ✨
You deserve to be celebrated. 🥳

This is more than a photographic session. This is a haerenga.
This is you returning home to yourself. This is you seeing yourself. 💜

*I know you cannot see Madi's beautiful face - I just love this crop*
*The crop of an image does not take from the beauty nor the essence of the person in it*
*Added in Octavia because she's apart of this haerenga; and because she's adorable - and māmās deserve to have an abundance of photographs with their babies*

Ngā mihi.
