An early start this morning found me watching the Pied Stilts along the Manawatu Estuary. I find these delicate birds quite captivating. With their slender legs moving the bird at surprising speeds, whether in the search for food, all the while, ever alert to the threat of danger.
I managed this shot, which shows the speed of movement as the front bird takes flight.
