I was so lucky to volunteer in Maui and Moloka'i last month with Taskforce Kiwi. It's always a special experience to work alongside locals, hear their stories, and find the threads that connect us.
Yes it's Hawai'i, but it's definitely not a time to relax by the beach! The team kept busy with Red Lightning, pulling out mouldy drywall and ceilings, sweeping out mud, clearing branches, installing new drywall . . . and loads of other tasks. I can't wait to return (but without the extreme storm damage next time).
This volunteer impact couldn't be made without sponsors and supporters, and the amazing flight support from Airlink who work absolute magic.

A walk through of 'Inside Stories - From The South' exhibited at Parliament in Wellington until August. How great do the artworks look! Well done to all the young photographers from the Buller, Selwyn, Grey, and Ashburton Districts.

I was chuffed to visit 'Inside Stories - From the South' at the Beehive in Wellington on Tuesday. The work has been beautifully installed by Tasha Fernandez who is the Curator of the Parliamentary Collection, and I got the chance to speak with Visitor Hosts and members of the public about the project (and how amazing all the young photographers are). You can visit the exhibition for free at Parliament (head to the Beehive and sign in). You might like to call first, just to make sure the exhibition is staffed and open on that day.
