How Photographs Enhance the Appeal of a Home for Sale

Selling a home today is about much more than listing its size and location. Potential buyers pay attention to the emotions a space evokes — whether they can imagine their lives, peace, and comfort within it. This is where professional interior photography and printed photographic artworks play an outstanding role. They create the atmosphere that draws attention and encourages buyers to take the next step.

Two places, just a few hours apart in the sky.
Two moods, two climates, two entirely different worlds.

Wanaka, New Zealand. Sydney, Australia.
Side by side in panoramic frames — a quiet contrast, a shared horizon.

Two worlds, held still on Ilford Galerie Smooth Cotton Sonora.

A beautifully soft sky during the golden hour, combined with the stunning color tones of the aircraft and an impressive trail of smoke. But that’s not all—featured here is also an aerobatic team known as the “Cats,” a group of beautiful and courageous women. The photo was taken in Poland at the Suwałki Air Show. Printed in A2 format on Ilford Galerie Smooth Cotton Sonora 320gsm paper.

Dead Engines, Living Memories – Horopito Motor Wreckers

Sometimes you have to go somewhere the past still breathes in silence. Horopito Motor Wreckers, also known as Smash Palace, is a place where old machines find their quiet end. That’s where I went with my camera and a roll of 35mm Ilford HP5 Plus film—to look for traces of life among what seems lifeless.

Choosing Glass for Picture Framing

When selecting glass for a framed picture, focus primarily on protecting the artwork from UV light, minimizing reflections, and balancing durability with weight. Standard glass works well for simple frames, but for valuable pieces, specialized options are recommended. The key is to match the glass type to the display conditions, such as room lighting and sunlight exposure.

Types of Glass

Standard glass (float, approx. 2 mm thick) – an economical option but prone to reflections and offering low UV protection (around 45%).

Anti-reflective or museum glass (UV 70% or 99%) – minimizes reflections (down to 1–8%), blocks up to 99% of UV rays, and preserves true color and contrast. It’s ideal for fine art and archival framing.

Plexiglass (acrylic) – lighter, shatter-resistant, and transmits more light (about 92%). Best for large formats or high-traffic areas where breakage is a risk.

Protection and Display Conditions

Choose UV-filtering glass for artwork displayed in sunlit areas to prevent fading.

The Magic of Nature Captured Through the Lens – A Pair of Cockatoos from Melbourne

Every exceptional photograph carries a story – not only about what has been captured but also about the journey, the passion, and the moment in which the artist connected with nature.

This remarkable photograph was created that way – as the result of a journey to Melbourne, a city with a unique atmosphere where natural beauty meets modern culture. It was there, in one of the national parks surrounding the metropolis, that the photographer captured a pair of yellow-crested cockatoos in a moment filled with harmony and natural grace.

The two birds, facing in opposite directions, created an almost perfect composition. In their symmetry, one can sense calm, mutual understanding, and closeness – emotions that the photographer conveyed with great sensitivity. The pure white of their feathers, gently highlighted with yellow tones, contrasts beautifully with the deep black background, creating a sense of depth and timeless elegance. This play of light and shadow gives the entire scene a unique and captivating atmosphere.

A stunning A2 print on Ilford Galerie paper, featuring a photograph taken at Gibbs Farm. A brief story behind this photograph.

Horizons – a fairytale landscape of imagination

The photograph I’m presenting today captures another remarkable sculpture from Gibbs Farm – the monumental work by "Neil Dawson". It’s one of the earliest pieces commissioned for the farm and, standing on one of the property’s highest points, it’s also among the few visible from the road.
