I started my career in the tourism industry at the age of 15 years; I was mentored by my father and uncle because they were also in the mountaineering and tourism industry since last 3 decades, I got the opportunity to learn many things under the experienced persons. At the age of 16, I got my first successful summit on Mount Mera peak which was the turning point for me into the mountaineering industry of Nepal,
I had lots of enthusiasm to learn about mountaineering since my childhood. I got my trekking guide license in 2010. And after some days, I did an introductory rock-climbing course from NMIA (Nepal Mountaineering Instructor Association) which was the gateway to enter into the world of mountaineering for me. Although I had already climbed Mera Peak (6,476 meters) and Island Peak (6189 meters) before joining the introductory course of mountaineering, I had no knowledge about the basic factors of climbing. But later on, as I had done more and more training based on the mountaineering, I acquired many useful ideas to be applied in climbing.
In 2012 following the previous training I got a chance to do Basic Rescue Course from NMIA. Afterward, I did First Aid Course from KEEP (Kathmandu Environment Education Project). After having four essential certificates (Guide License, Introductory rock-climbing course, Basic rescue training, and First aid course), I was qualified for joining the Basic Mountaineering Course in 2013 from NMA (Nepal Mountaineering Association). After having a year of break, I did an “Advance mountaineering course” from NMA at the end of 2014 which lasted till the beginning of 2015. And then I went to Austria for working and practicing some climbing skills for some months. Meanwhile, I got a further chance to learn skiing there. After returning from Europe, I started working as a mountain climber. In 2016, I learned Heli-Rescue (Marshaling) and Navigation Training which assisted me to sharpen my further knowledge. In 2018, I got an opportunity to compete for Aspirant guide and passed the examination to be nominated for International Mountain Guide (IFMGA, UIAGM, IVBV) Since 2016, I have climbed four mountains over 8000 Meter (Mt. Everest 8,848M, Mt. Makalu 8,463M, Mt. Dhaulagiri 8,167M and Mt. Manaslu 8,163M) and numerous peaks below 8000 Meter including a technical mountain Mt. Ama Dablam 6,812M. three times. During the offseason, I have been to different European Nations, Austria, Germany, France, Italy and Greece. In 2019, I went to New Zealand for working where I had guided several times in Mt. Cook, Mt. Aspiring, Mt. Dixon, Remarkable Queenstown, and Tasman Glacier.
Being a Sherpa from the mountain region in Nepal, I am very much entranced in climbing mountains both in my country and out of the country. Achieving such success in climbing mountains makes me believe that mother nature has always been my protector and I should offer all my effort to save nature.
Sincerely Yours
