Good Evening from Bergen! 🇳🇴

Does this panorama look familiar? If not, next time you're in Bergen, we recommend walking a little farther along the waterfront, past Bergenhus Fortress. That's where you'll find Skuteviken, a small historic neighborhood by the Byfjord. 🏘️

Skuteviken grew as an old suburb of Bergen, with small wooden houses built along narrow lanes without any strict plan. Today, its colorful waterfront buildings, steep rocky slopes and winding roads create one of those wonderfully Bergen-like views that are easy to miss if you stay only around the most famous sights. ❤️

Would you recognize Holmenkollbakken from this angle? 😍🇳🇴

Oslo's famous ski jump looks completely different from underneath! You can walk around beneath its enormous structure, and even drive through the road tunnel visible in our photo. 🚗💨

Hidden beneath Holmenkollbakken is also the Ski Museum, the world's oldest museum dedicated to skiing. And the best part - your museum ticket includes an elevator ride to the top of the jump tower, where you get an incredible panorama over Oslo and the Oslofjord. ❤️

Trollstigen - a road where the drive itself becomes the adventure 🇳🇴🚗

Few mountain roads capture the wild character of Norway quite like this one. Eleven hairpin bends climb the steep mountainside, with rugged peaks towering above and the powerful Stigfossen waterfall thundering right beside the road ⛰️

Opened in 1936 after eight years of construction, Trollstigen is an impressive reminder of what it took to build roads through Norway's challenging mountain landscape. Today, every turn reveals a new perspective, while the viewpoints at the top let you look back down over the entire serpentine road you've just conquered 😍

It's narrow, steep, dramatic, and sometimes a little intimidating - but that's exactly what makes Trollstigen so much fun to experience. Here, getting to your destination is definitely not the only reason to drive the road ❤️

Everyone wants to peek inside Under! 🌊👀

From this angle, one detail is especially interesting - the narrow vertical window on the side of the building. It stretches from above the sea surface down below it, so from inside you can actually watch the waterline moving across the glass. Deeper down, the main dining room sits about five meters below the surface with its huge panoramic underwater window. 🍽️

While we were walking around Under, we even saw a couple of small boats come closer for a curious peek. 🤣⛵️

Sometimes it feels like a photograph can carry a smell. 😄🐟

If you've traveled around Lofoten and stopped near one of these traditional fish-drying racks, this photo might bring that very distinctive aroma straight back to you! 😉

In many ways, it really is the smell of Lofoten. Fishing has shaped life on these islands for centuries. Every winter, huge numbers of migrating Arctic cod, known as skrei, travel from the Barents Sea to the waters around Lofoten to spawn. The famous Lofoten fishery takes place mainly from January to April and has roots stretching back to the Viking Age. 🇳🇴

Much of the catch is hung outdoors on traditional wooden racks called hjell, where the cold air, wind and unique coastal climate slowly transform the cod into stockfish. No artificial drying is needed - just nature and time. This centuries-old tradition is still very much alive today. ❤️

Just look at this elegance! 😄🐄 How is it even possible to cross the Sognefjellet Road with THIS much style?

Everything about this cow is perfect - from the elegantly raised tail to that confident runway walk! 😂 She clearly knows that when you're crossing one of Norway's most scenic mountain roads, you have to look your best. 🇳🇴⛰️

She also asked us to send everyone a big hello from Sognefjellet! 👋🐄

Sunset on the Atlantic Road - one of those evenings when you just don’t want to leave! 🌅

On Eldhusøya, right beside the famous Atlantic Road, you can walk the Svevestien - a 550-meter elevated circular path that follows the coastline and seems to float above the landscape. From here you can enjoy views of the open Atlantic and the iconic Storseisundet Bridge. 🇳🇴

On a calm summer evening, walking here is pure pleasure. But we would really love to experience this place during a proper Atlantic storm one day! 🌊😄 Warm clothes, waterproof everything... and probably a very tight grip on the camera! 🤣

Trondheim’s colorful Bryggene - one of those places we always return to whenever we visit the city! ❤️

Walking along the Nidelva and admiring these old wooden warehouses has become almost a tradition for us. They are such an important part of Trondheim’s character and history. 🇳🇴

Warehouses and wharves have stood along the river for centuries, serving the city’s merchants as storage buildings for goods arriving by water. The oldest preserved bryggene you see today date mainly from the 18th century, and many now contain homes, restaurants, shops and offices. 😍

And when the evening sun reaches their colorful wooden facades and their reflections appear in the Nidelva, it is difficult to walk past without taking another photo. 📸

Rafting through the turquoise waters of the Otta River - another Norwegian adventure you won't forget! 🇳🇴

Surrounded by mountains and wild nature, brave rafters paddle straight into the rushing glacial waters of the Otta River. The incredible blue color may look inviting, but don't let it fool you - that water is seriously cold, even in July! 🥶😄

Fast currents, splashes, teamwork, adrenaline, and that unmistakable glacial blue make rafting here an experience that's just as beautiful as it is exciting 🚣‍♂️💦

Norway has plenty of peaceful ways to enjoy nature... but sometimes getting completely soaked in an icy river sounds much more fun! 😂

Bergsøysund Bridge - one of Norway’s most unusual bridges! 🇳🇴

At first glance, it may look like an ordinary bridge curving gracefully across the water, but it is actually a 931-meter-long floating bridge. Built in 1992, its steel structure rests on seven concrete pontoons and crosses the strait between the islands of Bergsøya and Aspøya. 🌉

What makes it especially interesting is that the floating section has no mooring to the seabed - the bridge is supported at its ends while the pontoons keep it afloat. This makes Bergsøysund one of the longest end-supported floating bridges of its kind in the world. 😯

NTNU even uses the bridge for research, continuously studying how this enormous floating structure reacts to wind and waves. 🌊
