MADAGASCAR 🇲🇬

In just 96 days, I’ll finally be heading out on one of the most ambitious and exciting photography expeditions I’ve ever planned.

From the iconic baobab landscapes in western Madagascar and the spiny forests of the south, to remote rainforests filled with lemurs, chameleons and nocturnal wildlife found nowhere else on Earth — this journey is shaping up to become a truly unforgettable adventure!

Madagascar has been a dream destination of mine for many years, and I honestly still can’t believe this expedition is finally happening!

It also feels especially meaningful to experience a place like Madagascar in the same year that David Attenborough turns 100 — someone whose documentaries played a huge role in inspiring my fascination for wildlife, nature and exploration growing up! 🙏

A huge thank you to Safarireiser for putting together such an incredibly extensive and well-crafted itinerary for this expedition. The route looks absolutely phenomenal.

Deep in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Uganda, the silence changed the moment he appeared . . .

Watching a wild silverback move through the rainforest shadows was one of the most powerful wildlife experiences I’ve ever had. Calm, intelligent, and unbelievably strong — a true king of the forest.

I chose black and white for this image to focus entirely on mood, texture, and emotion — removing distractions and focusing only on presence, atmosphere, and soul.

This still feels a bit unreal . . . 🌍

Some time ago, I received the message that I had won in the 500px Global Photography Awards.

Now, after the wait, the prize has finally arrived — and I’m standing here holding it in my hands.

Not just a Vivo X300 Pro, but a symbol of the journey I’ve been on since I started photography in August 2024.

From curiosity
To passion
To connecting with people around the world through photography

I’m honored to be featured in a Photographer Spotlight on 500px, one of the world’s leading photography platforms.

What makes this especially meaningful is that I only started photography in August 2024. Since then, my focus has been on capturing intimate moments of wildlife and nature, often inspired by my travels and time spent outdoors.

Recently I was also named “500px Popular Photographer of the Year 2025”, which led to this interview where I share more about my journey, inspiration, and approach to wildlife photography 🏆📷

🏆 Popular Photographer of the Year — People’s Choice 🏆

500px Global Photography Awards 2025

I’m honored to share that I’ve been awarded Popular Photographer of the Year — People’s Choice in the 2025 500px Global Photography Awards.

After first winning the Animal Category — People’s Choice, my image “Guardian of the Canopy” went on to receive the highest number of community votes across all five categories — earning the overall People’s Choice title.

Among thousands of submissions worldwide, this recognition represents a powerful reminder of the connection photography can create.

Wildlife photography, for me, is about presence — meeting the subject at eye level and allowing detail, texture, and character to speak without distraction.

Grateful for the support. Motivated to continue pushing further.
