Jötunheimr
Skaði(Skade) is a jotun goddess associated with skiing, hunting, winter and mountains. Her father, Þjazi, kidnapped Iðunnr and her apples. He gets killed when the gods came to take her back. Skaði then traveled to Ásgarðr to avenge her father. In compensation Óðinn places her father's eyes as stars in the sky, and she gets to marry one of the gods. But she can only choose them by their feet. Hoping to choose Baldr she chooses the most beautiful feet. The God she chose was Njörðr. They soon discovered that they were too different to work. Skaði and Njörðr tried living nine days by the sea in Nóatún and nine days in Trymsheimi. But whenever they were by the sea Skaði would wake from the seagulls and would long for the mountains. And when they were in the mountains Njörðr couldn't sleep because of the howls of the wolves and missed the swansongs of the sea. Eventually they decided to live separately. And Skaði would return to Trymheimi where she'd continue to ski and hunt in the mountains.
