Are you a traveler looking to improve the overall travel experience? Or do you want to crush the fear of traveling with your children? The Act of Traveling is a collection of stories around the digital fire. It provides a refreshing view on traveling by watching people, cultivating serendipity, educating your children and respecting and embracing differences. Slowly the focus of the blog is moving

towards a Slow Travel Movement. Slow travel is all about staying longer to really get acquainted with a place and its local habits. I am a Dutch guy, passionate about traveling, discovering new places and meeting people all around the world. Me and my wife got our first child back in 2001. Of course the traveling was temporarily brought down to a minimum (not so strange is it?). With our youngest one turning 4, we dared to take up the challenge again! We love to have our children encounter new cultures and countries early in their lives. Please enjoy my posts about traveling the world with our children.
