Portfolio item in !

This collaboration with the leading French surf magazine was one of my highlights last year. An extensive portfolio item in a beautifully designed magazine.

For me it was a huge compliment that they decided to run a series of not necessarily shots of people surfing, but choose to release a more artistic series where surfing is a subject in different settings.

Thank goodness there’s translation apps, because the whole thing is written in French! 😅

Oh yes. For anyone interested in getting a copy, this was the winter magazine. Yes…I’m guilty of being a little late to the party when it comes to sharing this collab. But if you’re really keen on owning one, visit their website, it seems they have a couple in stock.

I won 1st price in the sports category!

The awards ceremony for the photo contest was last night, in this stunning big church in Deventer. There were 350 contestants and a total of 1600 photographs were submitted in four categories.

How amazing that this photo of our beloved North Sea and surf sport won!

Nominated!

Well you know, I’m pretty stoked that my photo got picked as one of the potential winners for this photo comp during the “Week of the Photography”.

This is an event organised by the Royal Photographic Society in The Netherlands (Koninklijke Fotobond) to celebrate 200 years of photography.

Winners will be announced May 13, during the event opening. There’s an exposition connected to the event in the in Deventer. So if you live nearby, and you like photography, could be a fun place to visit.
