GoddessNox • Digital artist]] I am ready to share this new Instagram specially dedicated to a brand new art project about the Greek goddess Nox.
Nox is the personification of the night and even though she is considered very powerful (even more powerful then Zeus) there are, interestingly enough, almost no stories about her. This fact leaves room for interpretation and imagination. I thought long and hard about who she might be and what she might be like. I even took several personality test on her behalf!

The project, which consists of digital and traditional paintings accompanied by story telling and poetry, will touch upon several fields. It will discuss Greek mythology and renaissance, dive into philosophical topics such as good and evil and discuss femisnism.

Over een paar weken sluit ik mijn Etsy shop. Het verkopen van mijn werken heeft ervoor gezorgd dat ik werken ga maken met 'verkoopbaarheid' in mijn achterhoofd. De laatste tijd merkte ik dat ik langzaamaan mijn plezier in het schilderen aan het verliezen was. Nadat ik een passie project opstartte (waarover later meer) merkte ik weer hoe blij, enthousiast en gepassioneerd ik kan zijn over kunst!

De komende 3 weken kun je door met mij contact op te nemen werken kopen tegen enorm lage prijzen! Daarna sluit mijn shop online. Ik kan van bijna alle werken prints maken tot en met A3 formaat.

The current status of this sketch I made. It is getting in a direction I like. I am going to make the background less messy and I am going to add details to the top of the fingers. Futhermore I will add some contrast.

A little close up of this painting. In the meantime it has already changes a lot again. And... the changes are not good hahah. Unfortunately I do not have a CTRL+Z option and I will have to deal with it. For now I put this one to the side and see what I think about it in a couple of weeks.

Process on this one. Now wondering if I like the edge around it. Still in dubio if I actually ever like it. It was an easy way to make al my paintings look like the same style, but well... I am planning on doing a background here and I have a couple of ideas, but I am not sure yet.

We will have to see where I land on.

These calm paintings are available in my shop. ⁠
When my parents got rid of their wooden floor I asked my brother to cut the floor down into small tiles for painting. I cleaned and sanded them. Every painting has a slightly different size and I love the diversity of it!⁠⁠

I am working on this painting and am truely loving where it is going. This painting is learning me to give into the process. Before (you can see it a bit back in my feed) there was a waterfall covering the fingers, but it just didn't work for me. I could not get it to work how I wanted it to, so I added pink fingers. Not planned, but do like it. ⁠
