Hellevoetsluis mijn stad, maar ook de omliggende regio Voorne-Putten, langs de oevers van het Haringvliet, de natuur en stranden nabij de Noordzee. Een bijzonder mooi gebied om wat te ondernemen en dus ook voor fotografie. Ik breng dat graag voor ieder in beeld met foto's en voorzie dat vaak van een kort stukje informatieve tekst. This telephone booth still stands in the middle of the center of Cadouin. At its peak in 1997, there were approximately 300,000 telephone booths (cabines téléphoniques) in France. With the rise of the mobile phone, usage declined rapidly from the beginning of the 21st century. With the French "Loi Macron" of 2015, the legal obligation for provider Orange to maintain public telephone booths was abolished, after which virtually all of them were dismantled or converted into, for example, mini-libraries (boîtes à livres) just like this one. The word never stopped spreading into this one.

It is always fun to edit a modern photo, especially if the original photo is truly suitable for it. A different interpretation, as a drawing, painting, or any other creative ex*****on that shows the original photo in a totally different light. The possibilities are endless, and the result, when I am finished, is even more ready to be framed.

Many centuries have passed in the tranquil villages of the Périgord Noir. There are many historic buildings and houses where only time is the visible change. We now see cars where horse and carriage were once the daily sight, but many other modern objects also disrupt that historical picture. If we momentarily remove these modern changes and restore the image to earlier times, a surprising picture emerges. Villages truly become the central place of gathering, trade, and administration once again. Thus, we still see a market, but now as the central hub where everything from the region comes together. - Enjoy the view, back in time!
