We found this Doronicum (or leopard's bane) during our walk at the Elswout Estate. We went searching for birds (thats why I used an overkill lens for this picture).

The Dutch term for this flower is springsunflower.

Hey, there!
We came across this beautiful Emden Goose, during a stroll with my sister through Landgoed Elswout. It was one of the warmer days so far in 2025, so we had to go outside with our cameras!

Animal facts:
This Goose type originated from Germany. They can grow upto 1 meter in height and weight upto 12KG.

Geese are also used as guard animals because they are really territorial and make alot of noise when an outsider tries to enter that territory. They are even used around prisons for that same reason.

It had been a while. But we're back! I also got lucky with this picture of a Great Tit. It was searching for something to eat on the ground. It was a bit cloudy that day and the sun broke through for a few seconds, so I took my chance!

Hey, there!
I came across this mushroom during a walk at the Dunes of Zandvoort. These dunes are located in Sandvoort but the name of this place is De Amsterdamse Waterleiding Duinen. If you would translate it and look this place up, you would find out that this place is a mix of multiple things. It's a nature reserve, A natural water filtration system, a way to keep out the ocean (yes we are good at that part). It filtrates enought water to provide a big area with fresh tapwater like in my home town Haarlem and the surrounding cities.

I took this in Saarschleife, Germany. It snowed like 3 days straight. I love the snow! We went there to a viewing point to watch the nature around us. Needless to say, we didn't see mutch arround us. But it still looked insane.

Hey, there!
We went whale watching in Húsavik, Iceland. We spotted 4 whales (3 Gray Whales & 1 Harbour Porpoise). We als9 spotted a group of 5 dolphins. They were playing with the waves produced by the speedboat we used. They shut down the motor of the speedboat to limit the disturbance so the animals don't feel threatened. Sadly we were not able to capture high quality pictures of the wales because of all the movement of the boat and the animals.
