Wargraves Volunteer Photographers

On tuesday the 15.th of april I was on the Reichswald Forest War Cemetery to do some photo requests. Also to look after some graves from friends of the past 14 years since I`ve started to do my voluntary graves photography. At this time of year many flowers start blooming and show a colorful ambiance, well kept by the local gardeners of the CWGC. You can hear the birds whistling, smell the fresh mown lawn. Only the nearest road disturbs, but when there are no cars driving by it`s very peaceful 🙏

On the 4th of may I will be at the Canadian War Cemetery at Groesbeek for the dutch remembrance day. If you have loved ones there just let me know.

Today I was on the Reichswald Forest War Cemetery for some requests. Also had a brief chat with the gardeners, who do a wonderful job and keep the cemetery in beautiful shape and condition.

I wish you all a happy and healthy new year 2024. Keep the memories alive and keep telling the stories to your children and grand children. There are only a few veterans left to tell about, so it"s even more important to pass it through.

I also hope to keep up my wargraves photography in 2024, reaching the 1.000th wargraves picture marker. For now the counter is at 990 taken pictures.

I'd like to thank you also for supporting this page and your lovely feedback. This keeps me motivated to go on.

Constant rain made it not possible to visit the graves on Christmas in time. But tomorrow the weather forecast seems to be better. For now I`ve got my names of grave to be visited ready. If you have some "last minute" requests just let me know.
