**One of my favourite state parks in the US β€” and just look at it in autumn.** πŸ‚πŸ’›πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Welcome to **Letchworth State Park, New York** β€” one of those places that feels like nature has completely transformed itself when fall arrives. πŸ₯ΉπŸ

Known as the **β€œGrand Canyon of the East,”** the park is beautiful year-round, but the autumn colours add a whole different kind of magic. πŸ‚πŸžοΈ

Golden and orange foliage covering the landscape, the Genesee River cutting through the gorge, waterfalls surrounded by colourful trees, bridges and viewpoints opening up to one beautiful scene after another...

This is the **Upper Falls** area, and that combination of autumn colours, rushing water and the landscape around it is simply magical. πŸ’›

There is something about fall here that makes you want to slow down, take a walk, stop at every viewpoint and just keep looking around.

And with autumn getting closer, this is one place I'd happily recommend adding to your **US fall travel list.** 🍁✨

Sometimes the best autumn experiences are the ones hiding in places you may not have thought of visiting.

πŸ’¬ **Have you visited Letchworth State Park during fall?** Or is it going on your autumn travel wishlist now? πŸ˜„πŸ‚

πŸ“Œ Save this for your next **US fall road trip** β€” and send it to someone who would love a colourful autumn escape! πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸπŸ’›

**This... and not knowing what day it is.** πŸ₯ΉπŸ’™πŸ”οΈπŸ‡¨πŸ‡

Just standing on the side of a boat, closing my eyes, feeling the cool breeze and simply letting the moment sink in...

The beautiful blue waters of **Lake Brienz**, autumn colours and greenery all around, mountains hiding behind the clouds... and me simply trying to take it all in. πŸ‚πŸ’š

Can't be more **grateful and thankful** for moments like these. πŸ₯Ή

To be able to experience a place we had dreamed of visiting for so long... and then actually be there, surrounded by all this beauty, sometimes still feels unreal. ❀️

And the more we travelled through Switzerland, the more I realized that **boats are such a wonderful way to experience this country.** πŸš’πŸ‡¨πŸ‡

From the water, the mountains feel different, the villages look different, and somehow the whole landscape opens up around you in a way you don't get from the road or even the train.

Sometimes, you don't need to take another photo.

You just need to **close your eyes, breathe, and be there.** πŸ’›

πŸ’¬ **Have you experienced a boat ride in Switzerland?** How was your experience? Which lake did you explore?

Please do share β€” we'd genuinely love to hear about it! β€οΈπŸš’πŸ”οΈ

πŸ“Œ Save this for your Switzerland trip... and make sure you experience at least one part of Switzerland **from the water.** πŸ‡¨πŸ‡πŸ’™βœ¨

A **rainy, moody Interlaken**... and honestly, I think it has its own kind of magic. πŸŒ§οΈπŸ”οΈπŸ’›πŸ‡¨πŸ‡

These may not be those bright blue-sky Swiss postcard pictures we all dream of...

But look at this.

Misty mountains, rain-soaked streets, beautiful old buildings, the casino and that quiet, dramatic atmosphere all around. πŸ₯Ήβœ¨

Sometimes the weather changes the mood of a place completely.

And Interlaken somehow looked **just as beautiful in grey as it does in sunshine.** πŸ’š

Maybe not perfect weather...

But definitely a perfect memory. ❀️

πŸ’¬ **Would you still explore Interlaken on a rainy day, or would you wait for the blue skies?** πŸ˜„

πŸ“Œ Save this for your Switzerland trip β€” **don't let a little rain stop you from enjoying the magic.** πŸ‡¨πŸ‡πŸŒ§οΈπŸ”οΈ

Just another little **Grindelwald moment**... πŸ₯ΉπŸ”οΈπŸ’šπŸ‡¨πŸ‡

A charming church, lush green surroundings, and those dramatic mountains hiding behind the clouds... the kind of view that makes you stop while simply wandering through the village. ✨

Sometimes, you don't need a famous viewpoint.

**Just a beautiful little corner of Switzerland is enough.** πŸ’›

πŸ’¬ Would you stop and admire a view like this too? πŸ‡¨πŸ‡πŸ”οΈ

I don't think I'll ever get over this beautiful, magical Dutch village... πŸ₯ΉπŸ’šπŸ‡³πŸ‡±

**Zaanse Schans** feels like stepping into another time β€” traditional green wooden houses, historic windmills, little workshops, the Zaan River and that unmistakable Dutch countryside charm. 🌿🌬️

We spent our time simply strolling around, admiring the windmills, taking pictures from every possible angle πŸ˜‚πŸ“Έ, and soaking in the atmosphere.

And honestly, it's one of those places where you don't really need a complicated itinerary.

Just **walk, explore, stop, look around and let the village take you back in time.** πŸ’›

And of course... don't leave without stopping at one of the famous cheese shops for a **free cheese tasting**. πŸ˜‚πŸ§€ Because when you're in the Netherlands, cheese tasting is practically part of the itinerary! πŸ‡³πŸ‡±πŸ˜‹

And a little practical update because you may have heard otherwise β€” **Zaanse Schans itself is currently still free to enter.** There had been plans to introduce an admission fee for tourists from spring 2026, but that introduction was postponed. So you can still walk around the village without an entrance ticket. The windmills and some museums do have separate admission fees, though. (https://www.zaanseschans.com/en/contact/)

So if you're planning a Netherlands trip, **put Zaanse Schans on your list.** ❀️

Come for the iconic windmills...

Stay for the charming houses, countryside, cheese, little shops and that wonderful feeling of being transported somewhere completely different.

πŸ’¬ **Have you visited Zaanse Schans yet?** What would you want to experience first β€” the windmills, the cheese tasting, or simply wandering around this beautiful little village? πŸ˜„πŸ‡³πŸ‡±

πŸ“Œ Save this for your Netherlands itinerary β€” and give yourself enough time to actually **slow down and enjoy the place**, rather than just rushing in for a few pictures. πŸ’šπŸŒ¬οΈπŸ‡³πŸ‡±

**April in Amsterdam looks a little something like this...** πŸŒ·πŸ’—πŸ‡³πŸ‡±

A bunch of vibrant pink tulips in the foreground, the beautiful **Rijksmuseum** quietly sitting behind them, and that lovely feeling that spring has completely taken over Amsterdam. πŸ₯Ήβœ¨

Every April, the **Tulp Festival** brings thousands of colourful tulips to different corners of the city β€” from streets and squares to parks, bridges, museums and other iconic spots. 🌷🌷🌷

So yes, if you're planning a **spring trip to the Netherlands**, don't make it only about visiting Keukenhof or the tulip fields outside Amsterdam.

Spend some time exploring **Amsterdam itself** too.

Walk around the canals.

Wander through Museumplein.

Look for tulips along the streets and squares.

Stop whenever a colourful little corner catches your eye. πŸ˜‚πŸ“Έ

Because during tulip season, the city feels just a little brighter, happier and more colourful. πŸ’›πŸŒ·

And honestly... **Amsterdam + spring + tulips = a combination that's pretty hard to resist.** πŸ₯ΉπŸ‡³πŸ‡±

πŸ’¬ **Are you planning to visit the Netherlands for tulip season?** And would you spend a day exploring Amsterdam's tulip-filled streets and parks along with the famous flower attractions?

πŸ“Œ Save this for your **spring Netherlands itinerary** β€” and don't forget to explore beyond the tulip fields too! πŸŒ·πŸ’—πŸ‡³πŸ‡±

A little **Lake Geneva from the water**... and honestly, I think this is one of the best ways to experience Switzerland. πŸ₯ΉπŸ’™πŸš’πŸ‡¨πŸ‡

These are some of the views we captured during the **Riviera Tour on Lake Geneva** β€” mountains, little lakeside towns, dreamy water views and, of course, the magnificent **Chillon Castle** making an appearance along the way. πŸ°πŸ”οΈ

The Riviera Tour is a beautiful approximately **2-hour round trip** cruise through the Swiss Riviera, taking you past Montreux and towards the Haut-Lac, with Chillon Castle standing dramatically between the lake and mountains. Depending on the route, you can also see places like Île de Peilz and the Grangettes nature reserve. πŸ’™πŸŒΏ

And this is exactly why we keep saying...

**Don't just experience Switzerland from the roads and trains. Experience it from the water too.** πŸ₯Ή

There is something completely different about seeing the Swiss Riviera from a boat.

The mountains seem bigger.

The villages look so peaceful along the shoreline.

And the whole landscape slowly unfolds in front of you while you're simply sitting back and enjoying the ride.

One thing we also loved about travelling around Lake Geneva is that you can plan your day around the **scheduled boat connections**, getting off at places along the route that you want to explore and continuing later on a boat that fits your timetable. Just make sure to check the day's schedule before planning your stops. 😊🚒

And one of the best parts for us?

**The regular boat travel was covered by our Swiss Travel Pass.** πŸ‡¨πŸ‡β€οΈ

We had actually shared our full experience of this Lake Geneva Riviera Tour in our recent long-form video β€” including the journey, the views, Chillon Castle and everything we experienced along the way.

So, if you haven't seen it yet and would like to experience the full ride with us, here's the link:

πŸ’¬ **Have you experienced Lake Geneva from a boat?** Or is a Swiss boat ride still waiting to make it onto your itinerary? πŸš’πŸ”οΈ

πŸ“Œ Save this for your Switzerland trip β€” and remember, **some of the best Swiss views are the ones you get while you're on the way somewhere.** πŸ’™πŸ‡¨πŸ‡βœ¨

Adding a little **splash of colour to your feed** to remind you just how colourful the Netherlands can be in spring! πŸŒ·πŸ’›πŸ‡³πŸ‡±

We all know about the beautiful, famous places like **Keukenhof** and **The Tulip Barn** β€” and they are absolutely worth visiting.

But if you happen to have an extra day during tulip season, here's something we'd highly recommend...

**Go out and experience the open tulip fields around Lisse and Hillegom.** 🌷🌷🌷

Walk, cycle, drive around, stop wherever the views allow you to... and just take in those huge colourful fields stretching out as far as your eyes can see.

There is something completely mesmerizing about standing next to these open fields of tulips β€” row after row of vibrant colours, with no carefully designed photo setup, just **nature doing its thing.** πŸ₯Ήβ€οΈ

Red, pink, yellow, purple... sometimes so much colour in one place that it almost doesn't look real. πŸŒ·πŸ’œπŸ’›πŸ©·

And honestly, this is one of those experiences where you don't need an attraction ticket or a detailed itinerary.

You just need a little time, comfortable shoes β€” or a bicycle πŸ˜‚πŸš² β€” and the curiosity to explore beyond the usual tourist stops.

**But one very important thing to remember:** please don't walk between the tulip rows or cross the borders created around the fields just to get a close-up picture. πŸŒ·πŸ™

Those tulips aren't simply there for tourists to photograph β€” **they are someone's livelihood.** Walking through the rows can damage the bulbs and the plants, so please follow the signs and respect the boundaries wherever you go.

There are beautiful curated attractions where you can get those photos among the flowers, and there are also some tulip farms and fields where you can enter with permission.

But when a field clearly says **do not enter**, please don't ignore it for a picture. ❀️

We can enjoy the beauty, take hundreds of photos from the permitted areas, and still respect the people who grow these flowers for a living. πŸŒ·πŸ’›

So when you're planning your **Netherlands spring trip**, don't make it only about ticking off the famous tulip attractions.

Leave a little room to **wander through the countryside and experience the tulip fields themselves** β€” responsibly. πŸ‡³πŸ‡±πŸŒ·

Because sometimes, the most beautiful part of tulip season is simply **standing there and watching the colours stretch all the way to the horizon.** ✨

πŸ’¬ **Would you rather visit a beautiful curated flower park, or spend a few hours exploring the open tulip fields?** 🌷😊

πŸ“Œ Save this for your Netherlands spring trip β€” especially if you're planning a visit for **2027**! πŸ‡³πŸ‡±πŸ’›πŸŒ·

Cruising Lake Geneva πŸ‡¨πŸ‡ | Montreux & the Swiss-French Border | Swiss Travel Series EP 3

πŸ‡¨πŸ‡ **The Swiss adventure continued… and this time, we took to the water!** πŸš€πŸ’™

After exploring Gstaad & Saanen and all those iconic DDLJ filming locations in the previous episode, we continued our Day 2 journey from Gstaad towards **Montreux** β€” for something we had never experienced in Switzerland before…

**Our first ever Swiss boat ride!** πŸ₯ΉπŸ‡¨πŸ‡

And trust us… the views from the water were something else. 😍

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

πŸš† **GSTAAD β†’ MONTREUX**

We boarded the **GoldenPass Panoramic train** from Gstaad and made our way towards Montreux, with those beautiful Swiss landscapes accompanying us along the journey.

After reaching Montreux, we stored our luggage in the station lockers and walked towards the shores of **Lake Geneva**, taking in the lively lakeside atmosphere along the way.

And then came the highlight of this episode… πŸš€πŸ’™

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

🚀 **OUR FIRST SWISS BOAT RIDE**

We boarded the **Riviera Tour cruise** from Montreux and spent around **1 hour 45 minutes** cruising across Lake Geneva.

Snow-capped Swiss Alps, beautiful lakeside towns, historic landmarks and endless views from the water… it was such a peaceful and scenic way to experience this part of Switzerland. πŸ”οΈπŸ’™

One of the highlights was passing by the magnificent **Chillon Castle**, sitting right on the shores of Lake Geneva.

But the most exciting part?

We actually cruised along the **Swiss-French border waters!** πŸ‡¨πŸ‡πŸ‡«πŸ‡·πŸ˜‚

As the boat reached **Saint-Gingolph**, a town divided between Switzerland and France, we found ourselves literally cruising along the border before continuing towards Vevey.

Yes… we were way too excited about being on the border. πŸ˜‚πŸ‡¨πŸ‡πŸ‡«πŸ‡·

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

🎫 **TRAVELLING WITH THE SWISS TRAVEL PASS**

And here's another useful bit for anyone planning a Switzerland trip:

This boat journey was **included with our Swiss Travel Pass**. ❀️

The cruise operates with scheduled stops along the route, and passengers can get off at different stops and take a later boat according to the timetable.

We decided not to get off anywhere and simply stayed onboard for the entire cruise β€” because honestly… we were enjoying the views way too much! πŸ˜‚πŸ’™

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

🏑 **OUR ACCOMMODATION FOR THE NIGHT**

After returning to Montreux, we picked up a few essentials and headed to our **Airbnb for the night**, where we also gave you a quick little tour of our accommodation.

And just like in our previous episode, we kept track of the expenses along the way and shared the **complete Day 2 expense breakdown** at the end of the video β€” so you can see exactly how much we spent during the day.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

πŸ”οΈ **WHAT'S NEXT?**

And the Swiss adventure continues…

In the next episode, we're heading towards a **very popular car-free mountain village in Switzerland.** πŸ‘€πŸ‡¨πŸ‡

Any guesses where we're going? 😏
