Photography - Nilesh Shanmugam Photography Nilesh Shanmugam is a Chennai-based freelance photographer. Currently working as a researcher at Ghent University. He started photography as a hobby.

Since then, he has skilled himself in nature photography, macro, portfolio and wedding photography. This page is created for two purposes: sharing his photos and enjoying photos from contributors. He strongly believes in this proverb "Learning should be an everyday process to attain wisdom". Hopefully, this page could serve the purpose to learn from a variety of photos taken under different conditions, with different settings, and from different people.

The wooden clogs are prevalent from prehistoric times and has been worn by Greeks, Romans, Chinese, Dutch and more. The oldest wooden clogs so far recovered in Europe was found in Amsterdam and Rotterdam dating back to c. 1230 and c. 1280.
