NBTE Accreditation Visitation Marks a New Era for Nexus Multimedia Academy
Nexus Multimedia Academy today welcomed a high-powered accreditation team from the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) in a landmark visitation aimed at evaluating its academic programmes, facilities, and overall institutional readiness to deliver quality technical and vocational education as a SKILL TRAINING CENTER towards achieving the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu
The visitation, which took place on 18th July, 2025, represents a significant milestone in the Academy’s pursuit of national recognition and its commitment to academic excellence in the creative and multimedia industry. The NBTE accreditation exercise is a critical step toward officially certifying the Academy’s diploma and certificate programs, thereby ensuring they meet national standards and can contribute meaningfully to Nigeria's educational and economic development.
Purpose of the Visitation
The NBTE visitation was primarily geared toward assessing the Academy's readiness in terms of:
Curriculum structure and alignment with NBTE standards
Availability and quality of teaching staff
State-of-the-art multimedia and ICT facilities
Administrative processes and student support services
Health, safety, and infrastructure adequacy
During the visit, the NBTE team engaged in rigorous inspections of the classrooms, production studios, photography labs, editing suites, computer rooms, and learning resource centers. They also held interviews and interactive sessions with management, academic staff, and students to get a comprehensive picture of the learning environment.
Management’s Response and Commitment
In his address, the Lead Instructor of Nexus Multimedia Academy, Mr. Olalekan Onifade , expressed appreciation for the NBTE’s role in raising the standard of technical education across Nigeria. He reaffirmed the Academy’s unwavering commitment to nurturing creative professionals with hands-on expertise in digital media, photography, film production, animation, and design.
“We are proud of what we have built so far and look forward to achieving full accreditation. This process reinforces our mission to provide quality, industry-relevant training that empowers Nigerian youths with employable and entrepreneurial skills,” he said.
NBTE’s Preliminary Observations
While the final accreditation decision is pending, the NBTE team commended the Academy for its modern equipment, student-centered learning culture, and dedication to innovation in the multimedia space. However, the team also provided constructive feedback in areas requiring improvement, including documentation, expansion of learning materials, and continuous professional development for instructors.

Accreditation by the NBTE is more than just a regulatory requirement—it is a validation of Nexus Multimedia Academy’s role as a forward-thinking institution preparing Nigeria’s next generation of digital creatives.
