Standing for What Is Right
When the class president election came around, everyone expected Tunde to support his best friend, who was the most popular student in school. But during a debate, Tunde discovered that his friend had copied another student's campaign ideas and claimed them as his own.
Most students ignored it because they liked the popular candidate.
Tunde knew that speaking up might cost him friends, but he also knew it was the right thing to do. He calmly told the truth and showed the evidence.
For a while, some classmates were upset with him. Yet others admired his courage. In the end, the election became fair, and students learned the importance of honesty.
Tunde lost some popularity that day, but he gained something far more valuable: respect and a clear conscience.
Question: “Have you ever stood alone because you knew something was right?”
