I heartily congratulate Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Dasuki on his appointment as the new Chief Imam of Ilorin Emirate. This appointment is well deserved and a clear recognition of his profound scholarship, unwavering commitment to Islam, and years of selfless service to our community.

Sheikh Dasuki’s vast knowledge, exemplary character, and dedication to the propagation of Islam have earned him the respect and admiration of the people of Ilorin Emirate and beyond. I am confident that he will lead with wisdom, humility, and justice.

I must also commend His Royal Highness, the Emir of Ilorin, Alh. Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, for his wisdom, patience, and exemplary leadership. The Emir’s commitment to unity, due process, and peaceful succession has once again strengthened the revered institution of the Ilorin Emirate. His foresight ensured a credible and transparent process that produced this appointment.

As we celebrate, I pray to Almighty Allah to grant Sheikh Dasuki sound health, divine guidance, and wisdom to discharge the responsibilities of this exalted office. I also pray for continued peace, unity, and prosperity in Ilorin Emirate and Kwara State.
