THE WARNING WE FEARED HAS ARRIVED

Yesterday, I wrote about a nation pushed to its breaking point.
Today, that breaking point has cracked even deeper.

I watched a horrifying video footage from the CAC Church in Eruku, Kwara State, captured the final moments before armed terrorists stormed a house of worship during a service.

I heard babies and small children crying.

An aged woman scampered for safety just because she chose to spend her aging moments before God.

The gunmen came in and were picking up bags, purses and valuables.

Several worshippers were killed.

Others including the pastor were abducted.

What we witnessed was not just another attack.

It was an open Christian Genocide which the government is denying.

An attack on people who gathered to pray, not to provoke.

And yet again, what follows?

President in the villa welcoming the Prince Duke of Edinburgh.

Vice President in a welcome party for defectors into the ruling party.

Business as usual.

How many more lives must be destroyed before we acknowledge the truth?

This country is no longer dealing with scattered bandits.
We are facing organized, emboldened, well-supplied terrorist units that move with the kind of precision only serious backers can provide.

The same vicious confidence we saw in the killing of a serving General is now being replayed in rural churches and quiet communities.

If terrorists can walk into a church during service, open fire, capture citizens on a livestream watched in real time, and vanish without immediate pursuit,

then what message does that send?

It tells them they own the day and night.
It tells them they own the terrain.
It tells them they can terrorize any part of Nigeria at will.
And it tells citizens that their cries are echoes in a void.

This is why yesterday’s warning matters even more today.

Because the pattern is not random.
It is escalating.
And every unchallenged attack becomes an invitation for the next.

Communities are weeping.
Families are shattered.
Children are traumatized.
A church has become a crime scene.

And still, nothing changes.

We cannot normalize this.
We cannot shrug it off as “one of those things.”
We cannot pretend this is the country we were meant to inherit.

Nigeria is bleeding from wounds that leadership refuses to treat.
Terrorists are growing bolder because they see a vacuum,
a silence, a weakness they can exploit.

But we must not be silent.

Not now.
Not after the killing of a General.
Not after the slaughter of worshippers.
Not after watching innocent people dragged away by men who believe they are untouchable.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
