His Majesty, Oba Engr. Sulaiman Adekunle Bamgbade Ayodele-Edun Alaka III, FNATE, the Olofin of Isheri and Adimula of Awori Kingdoms, warmly received His Royal Highness, Luka Ayedoo Nizassan III, the Etsu Kwali, at the Olofin’s Palace in Isheri.

The Etsu Kwali, as the traditional ruler and Chairman of the Council of Chiefs for the Kwali Area Council in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, is widely respected for his commitment to regional peace, communal harmony, and the preservation of indigenous cultural heritage. His private visit to the Olofin’s Palace was aimed at strengthening unity and cooperation between the Gbagyi and Awori peoples of Nigeria.

During the engagement, Oba Bamgbade praised His Highness Luka for his unwavering dedication to his people and highlighted their shared efforts while serving as members of the secretariat for the committee tasked with developing constitutional roles for traditional rulers in Nigeria. This national assignment was commissioned by the National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria (NCTRN) and chaired by Retired Supreme Court Justice Sidi Bage Muhammad I, Emir of Lafia.

The meeting between the two revered monarchs further reinforced the importance of inter-ethnic collaboration, cultural respect, and traditional leadership in fostering national cohesion.

Olofin attends Nigerian Legion 62nd Anniversary, Meets Commissioner of Police, and Celebrates Isese Day

His Majesty, Oba Sulaiman Adekunle Bamgbade, the Olofin of Isheri and Adimula of Awori Kingdom, joined distinguished guests in Abeokuta for the 62nd Anniversary of the Nigerian Legion. Attending as a retired military personnel, he also represented the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, who served as a senior military officer before ascending the throne.

The annual commemoration honors Nigeria’s veterans, celebrating their courage, sacrifice, and service to the nation. Olofin used the occasion to pay tribute to their achievements and reaffirm the importance of preserving their legacy. The event was well attended, with the the newly posted Commanding Officer Lt. Col. Ebaji and other serving officers present.

Following the ceremony, His Majesty visited the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, CP Ojajuni, for a brief but productive discussion on security matters affecting Isheri Olofin town and its environs. The meeting was described as constructive, strengthening collaboration on community safety.

Later in the day, the Olofin returned to Isheri to join his people in the vibrant celebration of Isese Day, a cultural and spiritual festival that underscores unity, tradition, and the enduring values of the Awori community.

IFO LOCAL GOVERNMENT OBAS’ COUNCIL HOLDS MONTHLY MEETING, ATTENDS OLORILE OF IFO’S 10TH CORONATION ANNIVERSARY

The Ifo Local Government Obas’ Council held its monthly meeting on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at the Ifo Local Government Secretariat.

The meeting was hosted by the Executive Chairman of Ifo Local Government, Hon. Kussimo Idris, who was represented by the Vice Chairman. It was presided over by His Royal Majesty, Oba (Engr.) Sulaiman Adekunle Bamgbade – Ayodele Edun Alaka III, the Olofin of Isheri and Adimula of Aworiland.

During the meeting, members of the Council deliberated on matters relating to peace, security, community development, and the continued advancement of Ifo Local Government. The Council reaffirmed its commitment to promoting unity among traditional rulers and strengthening collaboration with government institutions to enhance good governance and sustainable development across the local government.

The royal fathers also emphasized the importance of collective efforts in addressing community challenges and ensuring the continued welfare and progress of the people.

Following the Council meeting, members of the Ifo Local Government Obas’ Council proceeded to the palace of His Royal Majesty, Oba Abdulsemiu Adewale Ogunjobi, the Olorile of Orile-Ifo Kingdom, to participate in the celebration marking the 10th anniversary of his coronation. The occasion provided an opportunity for the traditional rulers to honour the monarch’s decade of service, leadership, and contributions to the peace, unity, and development of Orile-Ifo Kingdom and Ifo Local Government at large.

Yesterday, together with my Olori, I joined the people of Ikoyi and Moba land in celebrating the first coronation anniversary of His Majesty, Oba Ibukunle Fafunwa HRM Oba Ibikunle Onikoyi (Fafunwa II) .

Since ascending the throne, His Majesty has distinguished himself as a wise and compassionate leader to his people, a trusted friend to my Kingdom, and an esteemed Idejo with deep ties to Olofin.

I offer prayers for his long life and a reign marked by peace, prosperity, and continued progress for Ikoyi, Lagos State, and our beloved country.

His Royal Majesty, Oba (Engr.) Sulaiman Adekunle Bamgbade, Ayodele III, the Olofin of Isheri Mole and Adimula of Awori Kingdoms, yesterday joined eminent traditional rulers, dignitaries, and well-wishers at the grand finale of the 1st Coronation Anniversary celebration of His Royal Majesty, Alayeluwa Oba Ibikunle Fafunwa, Fafunwa II, the Onikoyi of Ikoyi and Imoba Kingdom.

The colourful celebration was a fitting tribute to a year of purposeful leadership, cultural renaissance, and dedicated service to the people of Ikoyi and Imoba Kingdom. It also provided an opportunity for royal fathers and stakeholders to reaffirm their shared commitment to preserving Yoruba heritage, promoting unity, and advancing community development.

Speaking on the occasion, the Olofin commended the Onikoyi for his exemplary leadership and remarkable achievements within his first year on the throne, describing his reign as one marked by peace, progress, and unwavering dedication to the welfare of his people.

The Olofin prayed for God’s continued guidance, wisdom, good health, and strength for the Onikoyi, while expressing confidence that his reign will continue to bring greater prosperity and lasting development to Ikoyi and Imoba Kingdom.
