Some more frames from the project I created with Justine Sosa ✨

For this series, I wanted to explore color, light, and mood in a way that felt both bold and elegant. Using a combination of carefully controlled lighting and reflective surfaces, we built a look that allowed the colors to complement the subject without overpowering her presence.

Every element in the frame was intentional from the lighting setup to the soft reflections and color transitions in the background. The goal was simple: create images that feel timeless, expressive, and visually striking.

Photography is often less about the gear and more about how creatively you use the tools available to tell a story.

I used simple colour gels and a budget-friendly polyester film (Mylar) to create the dreamy reflections, soft textures, and vibrant atmosphere that bring these images to life. It’s a reminder that compelling visuals don’t always come from expensive equipment—they come from imagination, experimentation, and understanding how light behaves. Sometimes, the simplest tools can produce the most memorable results.

Let the subject do the talking.

For this frame, I kept my settings clean and focused on shaping the light using a beauty dish for crisp highlights, then layering modifiers to control spill and depth.

The magic? A simple sheet of Mylar.
It created that soft, reflective texture in the background and added dimension without overcomplicating the setup.

Sometimes it’s not about more gear…
it’s about using what you have creatively.
